Exhaust clips
 

Hey guys I'm trying to find the best exhaust for my ms3. I am open to different types of set ups. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to just end up with a cat back. With that said I'm only looking to spend 5-600 for a cat back. I've seen a couple cheap ones like obx or speed daddy exhausts which sound ok... Is there anything wrong with these? Then I've seen a couple borla/ corksports. Any insight on which exhausts you guys like best would be helpful. Maybe even a clip if you've got one?? I've searched youtube but would like to have your guys' opinion. Thanks.

I think the Cobb TBE sounds best. They have a clip on their site. I'd love to get that exhaust but it's almost $1500 bucks.

The only way we could really get a "definitive exhaust thread" would be to have several cars with different setups all recorded from the same distance with the same recording equipment. Maybe someone will be bored enough to do that at ENM.

You can listen to youtube clips all day long and get a rough idea, but from my experience until you hear them in person you won't really know exactly what they sound like. Additionally, what sounds good to one person very well might sound like shit to another.

I have the Speed Daddy, and for my tastes, it was fucking obnoxious - so I added a resonator to my test pipe, and got rid of a massive amount of drone and cabin rattling NVH at part throttle. Your price point @Rugger619; is going to limit you to a handful of choices, like OBX, CNT, Speed Daddy, Magnaflow (perpetually on sale for 500 bucks, lists for 750), or custom fabbed by a local shop.

@jgamB Good to know about the speed daddy. And yea the price is a bit of a set back but I'm thinking either obx or do what you did with the speed daddy. Thanks for the legit response other than what I've learned from evey other person on this site that go out of their way to say dumb shit about needing a post count to start a thread. So thanks again.

Bought my obx system off of amazon for just over 500 bux shipped. It's essentially a UR copy but still has good quality. Welds were good and overall fitment was fine.

It is loud. I have it Fitted with a CS racepipe and it sounds awesome, but obnoxious for others I'm sure. Anywho, just my 2 cents.

@riddlerspeed. Great vid. Has nice exhaust tone. Not bad for 500 shipped. I'll have to post a vid once everything's installed.

$240 got me res/muffler del. and 4.5in. tips....and it's loud as fuck outside but sound sooo mean. inside, well lets just say the wife hasn't complained....yet. just another option if you want the loud on the cheap. and since you don't gain hp i dont see a point in 500-1000$$ for noise. youtube has a really good sound clip for it. thats what sold me. now get to watching!...........................and donate/

Did you get those tips at your local shop or order them online? They look nice as hell.

I have the CPE Triton with a UR test pipe and love the sound at WOT and doesnt have a drone at crusing speeds. Deff the best exhaust IMO
