Exhaust options (No tune)

Ok so i need a little opinion. I have the car exactly where i like it power wise (internals, SRI, stratified e tune). I just don't like the fact that the car is a little too quiet with the exhaust note. We are saving for house so right now funds don't allow me to get a DP and a whole new exhaust system, let alone the whole new tune that comes along with that and possibly build engine since I'm close to the 50k miles.

So would a cat back exhaust need a tune? i know our cars are very restricted by the exhaust but honestly i like where it is at, i just want it to sound more grown up without messing up the e tune from stratified.

Thanks.

No, no tune adjustment needed for catback

I see you have a CS Race Pipe listed for your "Future Installs." That alone will add some volume, not much, but still a noticeable amount on an otherwise stock exhaust system. Not sure how much noise you are looking for, but that would be a good start for a little extra sound, plus bonus power. If you don't already have it, it's a helluva lot cheaper than going all in on a (new)catback.

Not sure if you have a flash tune or a full tune from Stratified, but $50/100 for a new flash tune/top up tune isn't that bad to have a proper tune for your mods.

I'm with you, hard to make changes without the funds

Go race pipe and resonator delete on the stock exhaust. Sounds a lot better and you will save money.

Buy the house first.

I bought my car with a Cobb catback on it. Pricey but it sounds great.

Save for the house... priorities man!

If you MUST make more noise simply remove the rear muffler, it will make considerably more noise and is quite cheap. The best part however, is once you get tired of the obnoxious noise its only a simple weld to put it back on.

A race pipe will add just a bit more volume, might be what you're looking for. I went cheap with an ebay pipe. Fitment was fine for me, but I'm sure results vary.

Before and after clip. Wish I had a better mic, but you get the idea.

Remove the stock dp, gut both cats, reinstall.

Free and gets you the louder sounds you are looking for.

All that would need to be adjusted in the tune is WGDC.

Ditto for the race pipe.

I got a catless UR test pipe then recently did a resonator delete and the car sounds really good

Here's an example
