Extended Warranty

I just bot my MS3 2011
i did buy the extended warranty as i don't know anything about the turbo and MS3 engine reliability.
I have never bot extended warranty at all and this is the first

I would like some suggestions

1) how reliable is the turbo engine of MS3
2) do i need to worry about getting extended warranty. i bot additional coverage of 6/75,000 with $100 deductible for $1K
3) if you suggest to buy which company should i get it from

1) Reliability of the turbo and engine are subjective. Mine has been very reliable thus far. Others conversely post that they have had fail ...even unmodded.

2) If not doing a big turbo, dp, tip, etc..., don't like working on a car, & cannot afford to pay for repairs then an extended warranty is a good idea.

Not a bad price for 6 year/75k mile warranty although I would have checked what $0 deductable would have cost.

3) It says you bought ("bot"...lol) it already. But, if not... go for Assurant. IMHO, and from what I have seen, they have the best rates.

Personally I've driven the shit out of my car for the past 3 years / 52k miles and it still runs like new. And I'm confident it would still be running trouble free for at least 50k more miles. It's a very well built / durable car overall. Make sure you let the car idle for at least 30sec upon hard driving to help cool down the turbo.

I have the same extended warranty on mine. Paid the same as you, but got a zero deductable.

I got an 8 year 120,000 for $750 with mine

It's a long story but in short I actually went to look at and purchase a used 09 (already was approved befor I went to dealer) and drove 6 hrs to get to the dealer at which point the sales person totally lied to me about the condition of the car and miles on it. I was pissed and went straight to the manager and told him everything and showed him the pre-approval on what I thought I was getting. Needless to say, the manager was extremely pissed about this (actually told everyone in the place they were fired..lol) and he personally called Mazda and told them what happened and got me an amaing deal on a new 2010 and warranty.

Anyways deductible is $100

ahhh, I'm actually going to the dealer this weekend to test drive the car and pretty much dead set on getting the ms3 until couple of people telling me they've been having problems with the engine, transmission, engine light. One said her husnbad Mazda6 engine needed to be rebuilt. Some say they already have engine light issue. Can you just tell me they're reliable, dam it!

Make sure that extended warranty is from mazdausa and not some third party. After I got all the paperwork for mine I found out it was through a third party. Got my lawyer, because the dealership finance manager assured me it was direct through mazdausa, obviously it wasn't and I got a full refund and got out of it.

hey thanks for the advise. i hope you did not pay too much with your lawyer fees. they normally have a cancellation policy of within 30-60 days. i got out from the one the dealer sold me. i found out that the company had too much complains and bad reviews and rating. it was 3rd party.
not too sure about the mazda plan, i see many bad reviews on them for being too overly restrictive when its time to collect. plus they are $1k more
