First log after Autotech install

How does it look? I think my ECU is still learning because I believe I should be in the 18-18.5 psi as far as boost goes, but aside from that does everything look normal? Looks like fuel pressure was above 1600 across the board so that's nice.

kind of surprised the boost doesn't go over 17 or even stay at stock 15.7

That's kind of what's throwing me off too. Spikes to 17.5 and falls back down to under 15 in under 2 seconds. I'm going to tighten the clamps a bit and see if that helps at all with that issue.

EDIT: just took a 4th gear log after tightening things down and replacing a clamp. Will upload after I get off work.

Post the tune you're using. Boost numbers seem kinda low. Fuel pressure looks good though.

I agree with @MD1032; , almost looks like your boost error correction values are too high with the oscillation at the beginning, but then you think it would also help you hit your targets.

Are your targeted WGDCs close to what you are hitting in the log? If not, increase them to match closer....

I'm using a stratified OTS+ map, I got it earlier this year in like March or April before I got the internals which I mentioned when I had to list my mods so that might have something to do with it, actually.

I looked for a boost leak with my homemade tester, and wasn't able to find a leak at all, so I think it's just a "safe tune". In any case I'm headed home now, will post a 4th gear log soon.

seems ok...you guys look at boost numbers too much.
Stratified OTS+ is most likely a load tune and since the map was purchased before upgrading internals I'm guessing it meant to be safe on stock internals.

Well in any case, here is the 4th gear log I was talking about.

I'm probably over thinking things, but I also think that it is like that for safety reasons, in which case that is great.

OK, you're probably just hitting load caps in that OTS+ map designed to work within the limits of the stock fuel pump. At this point when I was in your shoes I decided to try my hand at tuning, downloaded ATR, did a lot of reading (like, weeks and weeks of reading), loaded the closest equivalent Cobb OTS base map and started bringing up my boost myself. A possibly fun/enjoyable option...for your consideration.

Alternatively, you could buy another OTS+ map, or get a custom tune, but right now, with your current map, you will never see the benefits of those fuel pump internals.

WGDC quickly ramps up to hit 2.0 load and that's when you hit 17psi. Load tapers down to 1.7 at 5500 RPM on both logs. Looks consistent.

Okay so, it's narrowed down to map for safety reasons. Perfecto.

Just need to retune in this case for E85 and problem solved.

You really should get a real e tune, you'll get alot more out of your car.

And I will. Just didn't want to waste the money before I got my internals.

Now the question is, if I buy a test pipe, I should do that before I get a tune right? Does it matter.

You have the internals so your safe to put it on.

No I mean like, will I have to get retuned if I get it after I get a proper tune. I know some tuners do touch ups, I'm guessing for that reason.

Yes, if you decide to get a proper e-tune before installing the test pipe, you will need to "touch up" your tune after installing the test pipe in order to get the maximum performance out of the test pipe.
If I was in your shoes, I would purchase the test pipe and install it before getting a proper tune. You wont need to spend the extra money to touch up your tune if you do it this way.

mxlplx71 09-09-2015 10:17 PM

Not really, but I would put it on beforehand.

Sweet, test pipe 1st on shopping list then. Thanks!
