Yes, but if you have changed ANY hardware, even a simple intake upgrade, search and look for "low CDFP fuel pressure" or "low fuel pump pressure."

From my understanding if you're still running stock boost levels then stock plugs are fine.

I had some fucking KR problems in my 1st gen MS3, i installed the ITV 22's on a hunch, it fixed the problem. (If i remember quite right- thats how it went down lol) I think my boost would spike a lil bit upto 18, something to do with the stock plugs not being able to handle that? I could be talking out my ass right now tho lol Ive been thru so much trial and error w my old car, thats i cant remember it all!

Well I changed it to the stage 1 map with 93 octane and the car feels weaker and gas pedal is still lighter!

You do have to give the car time for the ECU to relearn fuel trims and shit.

I'm still on stock plugs and 18.5psi and it runs fine. I am also thinking of a one step colder plug too. At our levels I doubt it will make a lot of difference.

65K miles on the plugs I bought the car with. I ran ITV22's for about 2k miles when one shit the bed. Now I'm back to 21psi to redline w/ 0 kr. If you do want plugs, I'd go with the NGK's over the Denso's though. Hmmm... Time to change my sig.

its about every 50-75 actual hp added you'd want to go 1 colder.

Im at 5500 ft altitude and with the stage1 map I gained 42whp peak to peak and at 6100rpm gained nearly 100whp/100wtq.

Yeah the stock map is major fail at altitude.

I'm in south Africa by the way, and the runs were done on the same dyno, albeit some months apart.

Don't forget you need something to monitor the fuel pressure when you do. Either get the AP at the same time, or pick up a cheap gauge to use until you do.

If he has an Android phone he can use the Torque App to monitor the fuel pressure. You can get a Bluetooth OBDII sensor on Ebay for pretty cheap.
