Default Found a seemingly stock MS3 - Thoughts?

Super low miles, looks clean as hell. Good price? I've been eyeing one of these for a few months.
Used 2012 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale in Marietta GA 30062 United Auto Brokers

Same with this one - but the clean white and 47k miles just speaks to me from the one above.

2010's not stock. It has at least an intake.

2012 Probably has been modded and stocked, the bumper clips and painted calipers are conspicuous

Just keep that in mind

Also 2012 white has extended wing and tail light tints. That was definitely not a stock car

I didn't see any engine bat pics of the 2012, but I can almost guarantee you it's been modded. The front bumper clips, painted calipers and the front is lower than the rear, not sure if it has coilovers and is set like that, or if it only has lowering springs on the front.

is that 2012 price optimistic? I might consider letting mine go for a hair more than that. unmodified. non-tech.

Yup, not stock. Look at the for sale section here and get a car that hasn't been molested or slammed....

As already stated the black 2010 has atleast an intake... Could be it.
The white '12 appears lowered (maybe) with those bumper quick release it may have been modded more and stocked following. Then again it could all be ricer mod, on a 2012 the bumper clips shouldn't have broken by now unless he had that bumper on and off. Also +1 for Raider

Seriously? Except for my K&N air filter and my aftermarket horns (and my knight rider lights), mine is stock. What's the deal, you can't find one that hasn't been modded?

ride height on the 2012... front looks like springs are clipped or replaced, rear doesn’t?

I do, I'm downtown. I'm thinking of checking out the 2012 either way. It only has 47k miles. If you're willing that would be sweet. I generally know what i'm looking for in cars as it is, but as for specifics for a car like this, I want to make sure it wasn't driven in to the ground, ya know?

I think what others pointed out, is it may have been driven ON the ground.

Let us know how it goes, my guess it will be a stiff ride...

=) I'm pretty set on one of these. I had an 08' Mazda 3 for a bit and it was a good car, then bought a 2006 Tiburon SE and loved that. Been driving my Wrangler for a while now, but it's time for a new something. I need a little bit of room, and a fun car with a little power for my DD. I don't want a Focus ST, nor do I want a GTI.

I'm going to find out. I at least want to go look at it for that mileage. I'm financing about half of the price when I buy, so unfortunately I can't really get a private party purchase. Maybe if my bank can give me a cash loan.

Mine was completely 100% stock also. My main concern when I was buying. There is a lot of ways to mod this platform wrong.

I would agree about the front does look low. They even put the red tail light covers over the led tail lights. It was riced out!

It's kinda rare to find a virgin speed. I was fortunate because previous owner bought a ripoff SRI came on msf got flamed real bad so he cried and left with 3 posts and never modded the car. Purchased car from a truck dealer (because he traded it in for one lmao). One thing I'd say is do not buy the car until you do compression and leak down tests, if you don't have tools ask your local nator to help you out with it. Good luck

I would definitely try to get a loan from your bank or a credit union so you can buy private party. Better than buying a car from a dealer where you don't know what's been done to it.

Most people end up modding their car anyway, so if you can find one that has the mods you want, you'll save time and money over modding a stock car. Mods are not a problem as long as they were done right.

Or buy an MS6...you know I think there is one for sale on here. And you know what! its got a brand new engine so you dont even need to worry about mods...of course you have to be VIP to see it which works great since obviously everyone will go VIP before even owning a speed right!

.
I would disagree with this statement somewhat. Just need to go to a Mazda dealer that has certified a used speed and you'll have an extended warranty with no fuss repairs. If there appears to be compression issues after purchase, take it in and bingo bango, covered repairs. This makes purchasing a speed very low risk.

Case in point: I got mine certified from a Mazda dealer a few weeks ago, they honored my private auto loan rates and I was even able to negotiate 2K off the price and I walked away with a comparatively priced (to private party) 2013 MS3 with a warranty.

Fast forward two weeks later and the car spent 1 week at the dealer getting over $1K warranty repairs done that I felt should be addressed (although the car was drive-able, just making some odd noises in suspension/differential). Which, still no worries because I'll have my warranty for 3 1/2 more years.

FYI, a Mazda certified used car warranty also covers the Turbo and believe it or not, the flywheel, among other big ticket items. I recommend purchasing a certified MS3 from a Mazda dealer if you don't want to go through the muss and fuss of private party sales.

While I understand your point. I went to a Mazda Dealer to buy a used 2013. There price was crazy and they didn't want to move a bit, and, the can was a base model too!! but anyway stayed patient and got another 2013 which had 3K miles over what the certified car had for less, oh and it was a tech with the lighting by the pedal area.

MORAL. be patient it will come.

Oh, believe me their initial price was ridiculous. If they didn't come down I would have walked. You are totally right, patience is key. The deal is out there.

The best warranty is the one you never have to use. I'd be more comfortable buying the car from the owner who can tell me the history, rather than a dealer who has no clue. To each their own.
