Found used fuel pump internals Hey guys, So i found somebody selling used autotech internals for $150 but wanted to get opinions on getting them used. They have 5k miles. Is there anything to be wary of or to look out for? or would i be better suited just saving and getting it new? Thanks! |
Check for obvious shit like all parts being there. Make sure it really is autotech internals. Make sure everything is smooth with no chips, scratches, scoring on it. Pretty simple to figure out |
i gotcha. unfortunately he's about 1.5 hours away so inspecting it thoroughly will be tough. |
http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...ernals-173127/ it is okay to buy used fuel pump internals. you'll want to see detailed pictures or inspect them in person prior to purchase to ensure they're not scored and are otherwise free of imperfections. |
May hold off until i can get an AP to make sure it's working properly...my paranoia will set in if i buy used and i won't have any way to monitor |
http://i.imgur.com/zJgfY66.gif the first rule of mazdaspeed club is: you do not install parts to your vehicle without first having a way to monitor it. the second rule of mazdaspeed club is: you do not install parts to your vehicle without first having a way to monitor it. |
Just make sure they look like autotechs, and not just that the box they are in says autotech. |

How much do AP's typically go for on here for the members that donate? |
Anyone who is VIP know what they are selling for here? This is a part I would want the purchase protection of MSF backing me up on. |
the prices will vary. you will more commonly come across the v2, and the prices are more or less in the $300.00 range. i haven't seen a v3 recently. whichever version, it's going to be a bargain price when it's available. they also go very quickly, so they can be difficult to snatch up. at $25.00 per year, you won't find a more valuable porn subscription. |
Does the AP have a flesh light attachment? |

I found a local parting out, and swapped my entire stock pump for his entire pump with ATs in it. Obviously I paid more on top of the swap. But if you can find that kinda deal, it's a pretty damn easy way to go about things. |
$150 for used is pretty good, when you go pick them up just make sure there's no scoring on them and they should be fine, people buy / sell them used without issue on here all the time. However it's kinda pointless installing them without an AP because as said before those are the two things you need on our platform to safely mod any further sent via tapafail! |

I agree a used AP is a good find, but if the internals look good I say go for it! |
I would never buy used fuel pump internals in my opinion, unless you know how is selling them. |
