Free driving school/track day with MS3 purchase I got my monthly email from Roger Beasley Mazda, the dealer where I purchased my MS3 about 8 months ago, and down at the bottom there was a blurb stating that any Mazda purchased at Roger Beasley gets a free track day/driving school at Harris Hill Raceway (Harris Hill Raceway Powered by Mazda. Mazda Raceway at Harris Hill Road - Motorsports Clubs, Driving School, HPDE, and Corporate Events So I call and speak with the Mazda guy and I go in two weeks! :yeah: It consists of a classroom course, on track session with an instructor, following a lead car, on track session with instructor, "haulin ass", and then a solo session. Pretty fucking cool. I have only tracked and autocrossed my Audi, and have never been to Harris Hill, so I look forward to really getting into the Mazda. I have owned it 8 months and have about 9K miles, all stock.   Link to the blurb: http://www.imakenews.com/rogerbeasle...mJfb1,bqyqhFdV |
That us a great deal. We will be hosting an event at Harris Hill in November this year. You should come out for that event as well. You will be a vet on that track by then. -Derrick |
enjoy!!!! mines on the track on a regular basis, and it never gets boring. soak up the school as much as possible, i did 2 schools this year and they were so good at showing you how you suck, and how easy you can pick up time! |
I seem the improve ever time I get out on the track. Eventually you start seeing smaller and smaller gains in time but improvement it still there. -Derrick |

Man, I wish I got a deal like that where I bought my MS3. Might have to see if I can't talk the wife into letting me go to the CorkSport one. |

I wish my dealer gave me something like this. |
Amazing track and experience. Couple hours of track time with more to come. Brakes - I am so sorry. |
Nice, glad you had fun..addicted yet? I used my oem pads one weekend at school then an event the next day and could not believe how well they actually take the heat. |
The brakes would start to fade noticeably after aboutr 10+ laps. Definitely going to get some stainless lines and stickier pads. I am HOOKED and will be getting a membership. Cant wait to get the Audi out there! |
I head out there thursday hopefully, if everything goes right at work. lol |

yall will love it when you come down.. Most of the time you see a lot of the high end type of cars running this track. |
As a Roger Beasley referral they chopped $1000 off the membership, but its still pricey at $1500 and then $180 monthly after that is paid off. They will also allow members to store their cars there, which is a plus for me as the Audi is not registered, street legal, and I dont have a truck. I think I found a new home away from home. My only issue is no gas available (or high octane). As for the cars out there, I saw nothing but Mazdas and Porsches running. The cars parked were Bimmers, Vettes, etc $$$ |
damn, one of those "motorsport country clubs" you guys have down there lol. sweet that they have storage options! |
I was talking to a few of the Roger Beasley guys about getting into one of the race cars and having a whirl around the track at speed. I plan on bringing my driving gear down to the Texas event with me. -Derrick |
Let me know when you go, I am setting up my membership! Feel free to bring some free mods for those who show! |
great to see dealerships participating in this, saw an email from Mazda Corporate about it but didnt think any dealer would actually do it. let me know how the experience is, Id like to have my dealership do something like this if theres positive feedback |
Ill be going tomorrow. Woot. Great thing is i know DJ that works there. So should be a fun day. He wants to race to heck each others tunes but he doesnt know im running a bnr turbo so should be intereting lol. |
Good luck putting the power down! Lots of humps and bumps to keep things interesting. |

ive been to the track many times.. just not with my pu.. which im excited about. |
I had a blast all stock, so I know you will! |
Alright guys.. Track was fun as hell.. I had track to myself for hours, DJ although forgot his speed so i gunna schedule another day to go back so DJ and myself can play lol.. I Already knew all the basics and the line for harris so the class room was extremely short and the lead/follow was only couple laps... i do agree with @texasboy21 that it was very bumpy out of turn 3.. they could def use some road work but all in all it was still great track. @CorkSport yall should def have a blast on the track.. one suggestion though they may help when you down here if you run your can.. raise it abit and soften your dampning if your running your coils :-) im running straight spring and it was bouncy. |
Texas is a long ways to bring a car. I had an offer to get into a spec miata to drive out there which I am thinking of taking up. -Derrick |
Would yall like a test speed to run? Maybe some before and after modificaiton lap times? |
Quote:
hell i might let you take mine.. we can talk about coilover prices lmao.. just kidding.. or am i  but they do have some miatas at the track.. so either way im sure you will be able to run the track :bigok: |
And some 918s! |
This is the only thing holding me to grab the @CorkSport Coilo set. I'm not sure why, but looks like H2R pavement is getting worst with the time. Recently knew one guy who blown his coilo there, and I don't want to blow the $$$$ in the trash.... So I'm watching, may be H2R will have some work done on the track to improve the pavement. Also to throw it out there, does any one know a cheap way, to get an member ship in H2R without braking the bank? If you have couple folks I can reach out to, please feel free to heat me up or PM me offline. My Genpu is desparetly begging to be abused..... Thanks Quote:

A roger beasley referral will reduce the membership cost from $2500 to $1500, and they allow you to make monthly payments. It comes down to about $260 per month for 26 months, then $195/month after that to maintain your membership. Not too bad. |
