Well when he brake Checked me and I had to do nothing more than down shift to slow down from hitting him and he damn near came to a stop the first time, I'd say I've got plenty of room between me and him. You talk as if you abide by that rule all the time. Next time your on the interstate going 75-80 keep 8 cars between you and the car in front of you because it's what the law suggest. And when some faggot squeezes between you and the car in front of you, make sure you back off enough to account for that car too. I actually do follow that law, as best I can depending on the idiots around me, being someone who is a criminal justice major and future state trooper. No one can drive perfect when someone cuts you off but if you can't be at least 5 car links away on the highway slow down. You honestly think if someone slams on their brakes a couple car lengths away going 70+ and u have to react in a split second and not hit them or smash into a car next to you then your fucking Mario Andretti. Accidents happen. Traffic happens because people don't abide by the laws of 10mph per car length. Everyone's always riding someones ass then speeding up and slowing down because they are riding someones ass.

Not sure anywhere in any neighborhood where speeds reach 45mph+ so you failed at giving a good example. I'd be driving 25mph if there were driveways around because more then likely I'd be in a neighborhood

It was more of an expression obviously I'm not going to slow down 20mph under the speed limit on a road where people are traveling at least 45mph.

In my experience And ive had quite a bit of it thanks to fayettevile nc. If you stay in your car and he touches your car or you from then on it's self defense. I usually keep a 45 with me and all I have to do after they hit my car I'd roll my window down and till them to get down and I call police an get an estimate of damage to vehicle and if I want I also can sue that person. What ever you do, do not get out of your vehicle and make sure there's witnesses.

I had a close call yesterday myself. It was the first time I was driving with my less thank 1 month old son in the car and had my stepson and wife with me also. Was pulling out after a redlight kind off slow but not THAT slow when next thing you know a douchebag in a older dodge suv was so closed to my car that it looked like he was trying to rub headlight glass to my rear window. Trying to remain clam I just push in the clutch a start racking or my FFS limiter. He passed like a douche and didnt even look at me. I was ready to drag his mexican ass to the curb if he would have hit me with my family in the car

LOL i do that shit too. i'm always checking my rear mirror (for the fuzz) and if someone is riding up my trumpet i let off the gas and slow that shit down. then as soon as they switch lanes i speed up and drive parallel to the car next to me so they cannot pass. their reaction is usually pretty funny. i hate drivers like me

Stupid. This has happened to me many times in my short life. Instinct is to want to get into it, road rage, fist fight, etc. Best thing to do is ignore and drive on as hard as it is to do- be safe. Never know who the other driver is- criminal- or what he is packing for a weapon.

Also, the other guy was driving a miata, so a speed3 2-3 car lengths behing is sticking the headlights directly into the miata driver's brain! Seriously! Just imagine you have a pick-up truck or a large SUV 2-3 car lengths behind... its headlights would torch your eyes both through the side mirrors and through the back mirror.

FYI, Texas is concealed carry and this shit happens all the time. And I would generally consider the people here pretty polite and considerate. That being said, the problem really is the bullshit American attitude. "I'm a privileged asshole, and everyone should care about what happens to ME!"
