Fuel Pump Internals IN!!

Hey I just wanted to thanks everyone for their support with the install of my internals. Installed them with my gf tonight. Got the pump out= cool; got the internals in= cool; reinstalled the pump and forgot to tighten the bolt on the bottom= not cool, GAS EVERYWHERE lol! We both almost shit our pants! (please dont be too hard on me) Had to take the extra time to fix that fail and now everything runs well. Anything I should monitor on the AP? Numbers to look for? Again thanks everyone and I honored to be a part of this forum. This place is gettin donations!

Log Hpfp active pressure and make sure it doesn't go below 1400 psi under load

Just in case you didn't know load= wot
Wot= wide open throttle
Wide open throttle= foot to the fucking floor in 3rd from 3k-6.2k

Vlad 07-28-2012 09:38 PM

Great thats what I have been looking at but thanks for a specific number. It holds around 1800 something under WOT.

adrager622 07-28-2012 09:43 PM

1800 is good under load. You should take some logs and post them up.

Glad mine's not the only one....

I thought there was a break-in period on the new internals where you weren't supposed to go WOT?

I agree. @silvapian had the calculations on how many times a second they cycled so there really is no need for them to "break in" because by the time you get to a section of road where you can go WOT, they will have cycled many thousands of times. But to be on the safe side I did about 10 miles of easy driving with my autotechs and then let her rip. they hold fine.

^Didn't break mine in at all. Couldn't help wanting to put them to use the first time I drove after installing... they are still going strong.

I didn't break my shit in either... I remember growing up and my dads friends philosophy was " either it will blow or it will go " ... Mine have been working good though...
