Default Fuel pump upgrade total noob

What exactly goes into upgrading the fuel pump to run more mods in the gen2, I have heard that the stock pump can't handle much. I have no clue what I am doing and am just curious what I would need to do exactly.did search for this and didn't find a simple answer
Thanks—

I have the gen 1 and basically once you start doing bolt-on mods your FP can handle it. I have had SRI and CBE installed and my FP was fine. I just installed DP, stage 2 AP map, soon FMIC and my FP craps out, drops in fuel pressure if I go WOT betwen 3rd-4th or 4th-5th. If you dont have these mods than you should be okay just remeber when you go to upgrade and get these upgrades that you might want to contact the Rpm Store or Cp-e and get on the waitng list.. GL..

Fuel pumps have been known to drop pressure on various level of modifications. Some get lucky, some don't

Do you know what a Accessport is?

If not its bascially a device that overrights your ECU so it performs better with the bolt ons that you have installed in the car. Right now I am just running a stage 2 map that is for my turbo back exhasut (dp & CBE) and sri. Now once I install my FMIC I can than change that map and put the stage 2 + FMIC map on the ECU. You might not need the FP with just an exhaust and intake. I sure as hell didnt. But once you go to RP or DP I would think about saving for RP, AP and HPFP all at once..

It's a little high. I have ceramic tint, 20% and I paid 189.00 out the door.

Is the walbro 255 compatible on the Gen2's? I've got one left over from my wrx project.

I'm in Burnsville, MN. If you find a good place to get a tint let me know. I have thought about getting one, but not very hard. I wonder how a 50% would look?

The place I went is called Gjerde's Solar Shield in Burnsville/savage they will ask for 249+ tax which is competetive with the other local shops I have checked...... The 50% looks decent wish I could go darker but you know.....MN

Do you mod? maybe when my RMM comes in we can meet up.....I'm a total noob at this though so any help would be appreciated, also will be ordering an exhaust eventually, what do you think?

Yeah if ya need some help I can try. All Ive done so far to the Mazdaspeed3 is a RMM insert from corksport and a SRI and TIP (also Corksport). I would have more by now, but I got a 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 that I am trying to save up some cash to start working on again. She's been patiently waiting for me to start rebuilding the motor again. (First time I rebuilt it the cam lobes wiped. Now I am saving up for a roller camshaft so that wont happen again)
You probably wont need any help on the RMM though. I think it took me maybe 15 minutes total, including jacking the car up. Easy stuff.

Nah, I dont know anyone else. I'm sort or reclusive like that. Its not that I dont want to... more so that I haven't put in any effort to find anyone else. Looks like We're rather close though. Maybe we'll have to meet up sometime at BIR for a drag or tack day, or maybe at a autocross event or something.

just go with 20% tint at least fuck 50% might as well not get it. over here in FL i think 35% is the law, but shit everyone has 5% and 10%.

yeah.... up here in MN we have dont have nearly the heat you guys do down in FL. Obviously that's why the differences in the laws exist. Too bad though, a nice dark tint really sets this car off.

In Southern CA we can have no tint in the front window, but then a gain we aren't pussies so we do it anyways.

cbe gets you no power. and you should wait, sure is coming out with a cbe soon anyway and its much cheaper than corksport, they told me 450-500 on the phone. and they are releasing a rp soon as well.

on gen2's your safe with an intake and maybe a rp, but if you tune, its all over. our fp cant keep up with boost targets on ots maps, unless you get a safe one. i suggest getting kmd or autotech internals, or get a cp-e pump if youve got the cash. i just got an ultra gauge to monitor fuel pressure, just pay really close attention when modding.

stop asking stupid questions then. ms3 uses a cdfp the in tank fuel pump is fine, this isnt a fucking wrx that has regular fuel injectors.

and before you insult some of the most knowledgeable guys on the platform, SEARCH!

The gen2 mod community is few and far between to be honest. After my searches yielded no clear conclusion I posted my question in a thread relevant to what I wanted to know. Forgive me for apparently internetting wrong.
