I meant you got yourself into a situation where you were over your head because you didn't have the proper preparation/ability etc.

youre absolutely right, i moded the car without doing a whole lot of research I thought I had it tuned safely as it is just a daily drive I never intended on making it fast. Now im just wanting to get the car back to running safe and being reliable.

Did you do the mods or have a shop do it? You may want to bring the stock parts with you when you bring it in.

I did the work myself and unfortunately the only stock part i have is the air box. the stock exhaust is gone and the TIP is 4 hours away in asheville nc. I will take the stock airbox with me though

This is the nicest I've seen the forum respond to such an awful thread in awhile. OP, I can offer no more info than you've been given, but please take the advice given before you break something. Research BEFORE you mod, best I can tell you.

Update and advice taken. Drove the car this morning no issues no lurching or codes were thrown even while the car was cold. I wont be taking it to the shop, but i will take it very easy. I just ordered some HPFP internals and will install them as soon as they arrive. Now i just have to start finding some information on what do to as far as tuning goes after I install the internals.

What do you mean? You're using an OTS map from Cobb right? There isn't anything different you need to do with the tune. Now the car will just run properly and safely with the internals.

Edit: Unless you want to get a proper ETune like the other people said.

Yes I am just using the OTS map from Cobb. I just wanted to make sure I didnt need to retune anything after the internals install. I am definitely going to look into getting the ETune.

And I just realized some people may have been led to believe I am running stage 2 which I am not. I am running the stage 1 tune.
