Aww dude that's too bad. I'm sure they would of made your ride look bad ass.

Where's the internals install video you made? I've seen a few but I'm always anxious to see more clips of installs to ensure I don't botch anything.

Ahh sorry... it's still on my computer. I'm almost done editing. Just been crazy busy these past few weeks with work and friends. Tonight's the night, I'll trying really hard to get it up.

Make sure that you include at least 10 minutes of her struggling to get the hard line reconnected. ;)

Alright I finished editing the video last night. I'll post it today after I get off of work.

Sorry this video is just my ugly ass. My girlfriend will do the next one.

@himurax13;

Thanks for the suggesting Valencia Galpin Mazda. My girlfriend and I went there this morning. They were great. Really friendly and no hassles whatsoever, even got to check out some new STI's . Turns out the leak was coming from the drain bolt. They tested the engine and everything was fine. They even took me under the car to show me, it was awesome.

No problem senor. I have dealt with a few of the local dealerships and this is the only one I don't have anything bad to talk about.:arms:

You do realize that you will have to reshoot the entire thing with your GF in it? It is getting hotter so please have her dress appropriatley for the weather. ;)

Finally got my AP in today. The Internals are still a few weeks out.

Alright video is done. Sorry it took so long, YouTube didn't like my original video format.

Video is a good guide but as stated before not perfect. This is something quick and dirty that I threw together. If you find something wrong with it (I'm sure some of you will) please let me know and I'll try to make a correction.

Everything you see in the video is all I did for my install and everything is working perfectly. I've monitored my pressures every day since and it's holding pressure like a champ. I will post this in a new thread so others can use it as well.

Sorry for the ads. My girlfriends account is monetized.

himurax13 05-22-2013 11:20 AM

Sorry, don't have time to review the video. You should redo it with your GF so you can tell people that it is so easy a girl could do it. ;)

Just start the video with the TMIC cover and the ECU cover removed. If people don't know how to get that far, then they need to stop watching, haha.

I would also suggest keeping the video under 10 minutes.

I don't recall taking the plastic and blue clips off the hoses.

I would stress the part about ziptying the hardline and how to unscrew the hardline nut.

I would also stress evenly applying pressure to the 3 bolts when reinstalling.

I would also spend more time showing how to properly orient the internals in and how it should be cleaned and lubed.

Like I said, I just don't have the time to sit through a 17 minute video, but I am sure it was good. :)

lol thanks for the input. I'll try and stress some of that stuff with annoying YouTube popups. Yeah I didn't want to show taking off the intercooler and all that other crap but there are a lot of noobs on this site who have never picked up a wrench.

I'll put in a button that says click here to skip to internals install.

I took the clips off because they kept snapping back into place.

My point exactly. If the yahoo watching this video does not know how to remove and reinstall the intercooler, battery tray, and intake properly, then they have no business at all to attempt installing fuel pump internals.

If you are feeling fruity, you can make a second video on how to do those. :)

Meh... kind of burnt out on the video stuff. That button will work fine. Let them ruin their car. One less noob/kid in a speed3.

How to Install HPFP Internals on a Mazdaspeed 3 (also Audi - VW 2.0T) - YouTube

Sweet. I'll watch the video on my lunch break. Thank for doing this though. This should definitely help me in my internals install.

@himurax13 said he was going to supervise my install so I'm in good hands. Although after I threw up all over @himurax13 rental car after the last NATOR meet, he probably regrets offering up his assistance, lol.

My internals came Monday, my AP arrives tonight, RMM inserts and plugs tomorrow, and test pipe on Friday. It's like fucking Hanukkah and I'm not even Jewish. :jester:

Thanks for the vid @rustysurfsa, I'll watch all 17 minutes and have some split screen youporn action going at the same time so you don't need your GF to retape this segment.

Nice! You're lucky man, when did you order your internals and are they Autotech's or KMD's? I ordered mine from Edgeautosport last Tuesday but they said they're going to take a few more weeks to get sent out. Once I get them in though, the JBR 80duro RMM, testpipe (or the ghetto version of a test pipe i.e. gutted cat on stock pipe), and JBR RSB are next on my list.

You should be tanking @rustysurfsa for the vid though. Haven't had a chance to take a look at it but I will in a bit. I'm sure it will be very informative to a nood like me. Too bad I can't open another window with youporn or xvideos on it at work. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait till i get home.

They are Autotechs and I prefer not to say where I got them... that is probably indication enough where they came from. I'll add that it's too damn bad they had issues arise, because their service was excellent (in this case).

Nice I'm getting the new wishbone style 80 duro JBR RMM too. Once that suspension sells i'm all over it.

Ahhhhh I see... gotcha. Yeah it sucks, i was really hoping to get them in quickly but oh well, shit happens I guess. I just got an e-mail back from Edgeautosport and they say they should be getting a new shipment in sometime in the beginning of next month but they can't provide an ETA. :disappointed:

You have got to be kidding me...

I installed my sway bar last night. and Fuck... Why did I not do this first. I'm astounded. My pu is completely different. It literally feels like I'm driving on another chassis. This bar is insane. I have it set on the stiffest setting and DAMN!! I threw my car on to a 90 degree corner on la tuna canyon last night and it was on fucking rails, the rear end didn't flare out and the understeer was almost non existent. I can usually pull the corner off at 65-70 and I drift side ways with the tires screaming to the second lane. With this bar installed I hit it at my usual speed but it stayed on its line and managed to stay in the first lane without much protest from the tires. I was totally not expecting that at all. There was a possum in first lane and I thought I would understeer around it, nope it died . I ran the car up to a high speed on the freewat and did a little maneuvering and took a few bumps on the car feels a lot more steady. I also did a lower speed quick 180 and I felt one of my rear wheels leave the ground :Banane44:

This is my favorite upgrade to date.

Time to go to the track.

If I were only allowed one modification on my speed, it would be the Tri-Poing swaybar and endlinks. Fuck them as a company however. :madfawk:

Well I just don't like how the stock endlinks are situated with the aftermarket swaybars. The Tripoint and Moog endlinks look to be a better situation. The stock ones should be fine since most people run those.

I might buy the Moog endlinks. I like the idea of being able to grease them regularly.

Awesome man! I can't wait to do this too.
Where you on La Tuna Cyn by the 210 on/off ramp? Going down hill heading south on La Tuna Cyn can get pretty fast. I used to go up and down that section of La Tuna Cyn all the time in my old car. My MS3 doesn't hold up in the handling department against my old Focus but my MS3 has about 100 more HP, lol.
It looks like a good RSB will definitely fix the handling on my MS3 though. :)

I live in La Canada and I work in Sherman Oak so I go both up and down la tuna. It gets really fast both ways, especially when a WRX comes my way. My turn is going up la tuna to the 210 freeway east (they jut redid the roads ). Seriously different car. I'm sure it will outshine your focus. I get antsy now when I'm not driving. It pulls through its line while heavy on the throttle, it's awesome.

Oh nice, yeah I used to live right by La Tuna Cyn so I used to drive it almost every day. I remembered when they redid the road I was all excited. They changed some of the lines on the road so more of it is single lane than it used to be, which kind of sucks because you're more likely to get stuck behind some slow poke on the road. Still it's a pretty sweet piece of road, too bad it's such a short drive.

I really can't wait to get the RSB for the MS3. The handling is the ONLY thing I miss on my old Focus. I had H&R Race Springs, KYB AGX Struts, a big Progress RSB, sticky tires and 17x7.5 wheels. The thing was definitely on rails, but when it came to power the focus was definitely lacking :lmao:.

I'm sure when I get the RSB, some sticky tires and some nice coilovers, I won't even remember I even had any car before my MS3.

[R]usty 06-03-2013 02:58 PM

Coilovers sold. Bought a Ultimate Racing Cat Back with a UR resonator. Should be here by the end of the week. :Banane01:

@Dark_Signal

How you liking your AP?

Dark_Signal 06-14-2013 11:56 AM

@rustysurfsa

The AP is great. I loaded in the Stratified OTS Stage 1 map and it really woke the car up. Plus being able to monitor BATs and HPFP levels while driving is pretty cool. Being able log WOT pulls is also pretty great. Can't wait to get the supporting parts to be able to go OTS Stage 2 map. The car should definitely come alive with that. Eventually I'd like to get a e-tune from Lex or someone but that's much later.

Yeah you should definitely get an AP if you don't already have one. You won't regret that purchase.

Have one, I'm running OTS 1. Once my exhaust and tip are installed I will go to OTS 2. Love it so far. Never noticed how surgy my car was until I got a tune. Car is much more stable now. How much does lex want for an e-tune?
