After what happened to my friends car I couldn't help but take it easy with mine...But that short lived lol MODS: CS SRI/TIP/CPE catted DP/AT internals/UR CBE/TS BPV /AP stage 2 partial tune. believe it was in MAF CAL stages... But has driven in this stage of the tune for a bit.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score No log. Don't have much more info. It did throw a code. I forget what it was. Will ask another friend later since he pulled the code. I blamed the partial tune myself but owner states he has had it with the partial tune for a bit and has got on it a lot harder before. I guess this was part throttle, doesn't remember too well, it happened so fast and suddenly.

Although I have a Gen2 with PERM tune/upgraded internals, OCC, EGR delete, etc--there are still rules that I follow-- No wot unless warmed up, no wot below 3k, and no wot on super cold ass days. I am guessing something had to have gone wrong with the tune. All we can do is speculate unless the driver shows us his map or has a log.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Sorry guys. I have been very busy with my coming up move to Cali and havent been able to get much more info. All I know is what I have already said (partial tune but he wasn't on it hard when this happened). The dealer couldn't even pull the code cause the battery cable was unhooked for a while. Dealer says they have seen blown motors but never anything like this and it was a defect with engine. Of course, this is not knowing the entire story. I personally demodded his car, car was covered under warranty and everything was sold. I wouldn't post it up otherwise. Rob, this is another friend. BUT that friend did give him the tune he was on when it blew lol I will get more info on the tune and such a lil later. Again no logs or anything. I have another longer video of blown motor, nothing special. If you guys want to see it let me know.
