I was holding out last summer for a '13 and in August they really started to push a '12 on me saying that it will be exactly the same. I asked for it in writing and they said no. I ended up going elsewhere for the car in November. |
2 Attachment(s) I wonder if I had any influence on this.. I tweeted Mazda a couple of designs of a next gen Speed3 (but 2-door variation) that I designed in photoshop a few months ago. This was my last iteration. I am quite proud of it...considering this is what it might actually look like based on the drawing on page 1. //Chris |

3 Attachment(s) Last year I visited the main Mazda R&D building in Irvine, CA. Spoke to a friend who works at one of the most top secret areas and he told me that there "might" be a new Mazdaspeed vehicle (did not specify which one), with a skyactiv based engine. That's all I have. This is directly from a guy who works inside Mazda. By that time they already had a clay based model. |
My service manager had a manager's training class in Orlando the last two days. He said they "put the rumors to rest... no more mazdaspeed, and no plans to bring it back in the foreseeable future." This thread should be locked already. I feel dirty for even posting in it again. |

He was told that at the class. Doesn't matter to me. Interesting that you were so moved by my post that you felt the need to respond to it. |

Ah, you're going to push your weight around.. edited I suppose I'll edit this out. I see how people are handled around here.. Even though the forum always talks about having thick skin or GTFO. |

Forget it, let's move on. I don't see how arguing could benefit anything. |

We just confirmed with Mazda, the Proto Tuning Tool Holder will fit the new 3rd gen MS3 with little to no modification necessary to the part or the car. :wall: |

Mazda is not giving up on the mazdaspeed brand at all. Right now there focus is volume, they want more then 2% of the us market, and the only way right now is to focus on the cars that will sell volume. He said we will see another mazdaspeed3 and even a possible mazdaspeed6. I also got this little bit info to share to. Well Sure has to get rid of the surplus of parts since no one from here is buying there shit, o well that is job security for me get to fix broken ass parts :) |
Yesterday one of the service managers at my dealership told me in his best know-it-all voice, "you know that's the wrong weight oil for this car." (5W-40 Rotella T6) I'm sure he would have recommended I go 5k miles with Mobile 1 in there if I hadn't been laughing. Even the board of directors at Mazda may not be sure yet if they'll be coming out with an MS3 or 6, but you can bet they're at least messing around with turboing the 2.0. |
