It's also a bit disappointing that even if they do another MS3, the aftermarket will be back to square one without the DISI. Although I would hope that it comes back quickly since the MS3 name is pretty well established now. |
Meh nothing too exciting, however, I would consider dumping my 11 if they eventually came out with a diesel version. |
I dunno guys... I almost feel they're not going to do another MS3, but If they do with that body... I bet it'll be a FMIC for one just by how the front grill is shaped. |
Autoblog has a rendering up and some rumors, I'd link it up but I'm on my phone. The rendering looks great, and they're estimating 2016 release, who knows though. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |
Look in the news forum here, the article was linked. Tapa who tapa wha?? |

Too much like a Focus ST just with a cx5 front... lame! hope it doesnt have a jacked up price like the ST. The main reason i bought my speed was bang for the buck factor. |

This might be the cheapest car with adaptive cruise control and some of those other tech toys. I've never seen a HUD in a car this cheap, and it's a smart solution to get people to pay more attention to the road instead of the entertainment screen. The CX-5 and 6 are winning all the recent comparisons, this looks like another class winner. Mazda has to concentrate on making inroads into the general population of auto buyers if they are going to survive, but even while aiming their cars towards that they are still the most fun to drive compared to others in class. We all know the sport cars will come back, probably starting after the new MX-5 is released (it's the sexy halo car, which may mean we get a Mazdaspeed one again). |
This would be really good in a Speed version, I think there is still hope. If we give it a year and see how the regular version sells I bet we will get more information. |
If it does look like that, I would trade my gen1 in a heart beat. BUT I highly doubt we will be able to pick this up for 22-24k like the gen2 (with tech). If there will be a new speed3, I predict the pricing will be close to 29-30k. |

Ford does not have an I4 ready to pounce on Mazda unless that unicorn Focus RS comes through with the 330hp 2.3... Not that many people are going to be paying $35K for a rwd turbo car either. |
Bad news everyone.. New Mazda 3 MPS on its way | Auto Express 200bhp on an NA engine.. Quote:

there will most likely not be a new speed. Speed3/6 coming out. the car industry is changing. the only zoom factor mazda will have left is the Miata and that's more puff puff then zoom zoom. I will be very shocked it they do come out with a new speed but I just don't see it coming out anytime soon. Look at the evo's there done after this current body style so its hard to say but it looks like the speeds are done too. Good thing I Still have mine! (Just my opinion from how you see the auto industry moving along and no real hard facts) |

No N/A on the gen3 the heck?! i say we all wait like good girls and boys to see what the heck the gen3 will be crossing my fingers and having faith in mazda. |
until i hear it from mazda or a very reputable place, its all guys with "the end is near" signs man, alot of dates the world is supposed to end that come and go with no pay off everytime |
I had a fiew minutes to spare and made yet another quick photoshop from this side view of the mazda 3 basically, with just a drop, side skirt, bigger wheels, rear wing and beefier bumpers and tint. it already looks a lot better... your move mazda http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z...azdaspeed3.jpg |
looks good needs to pass the 50ft test to be a speed. something on the hood needs to appear too IMO. |
I hear the new 3 handles very well and a 200 HP car will probably have suspension upgrades. Could be a fun car on the twisties. I could see myself buying it if the price is reasonable, I like the twisties anyway. Might get 35 MPG as well. The future CAFE standards and the people that vote for democrats are to blame for this. |

As for blame...if it wasn't for the standards, our air pollution would be far worse, we'd be in the hole even more as far as oil/gas prices impacting our economy, and screwing up the environment even more. It's probably better to leave a planet behind that our descendants can enjoy with their mode of travel than ruin it now. Besides, robotic cars are the thing that will make people like us unable to enjoy driving in the future...once those are reliable they will reach a point of being recommended and then required on the highways. That will make life better for the average person (rush hour will disappear, they can Facebook on the way to work, etc), but take away the fun factor for the rest of us, and eventually our descendants won't know the difference. Robotic cars are a far bigger threat to car culture than efficiency standards. |

First photoshopped picture looks good. Otherwise the new 3 looks like a bag of dicks. I like whoever did the 2 door speed rendition, that would be a car i would buy. |
i guess im the only asshole who likes the new mazda 3 and 6, alot too. |
Motor trend In the new motor trend at the end of the new 3 article it said new mazdaspeed 3 coming soon |
