Gen PU vs Gen Won Two options atm: Either buying '10 with 17k, still full warranty etc. for $21k OR '08 with 59k for 16k, and i'll have money left over to pay for the eventual smoking turbo and some light modding. :slomo: Let the trolling begin. |
But you haz Evo?! |
GEN WON!!!!! because you can mod it and not have to worry about warranty lol Or gen pu and not have to worry about breaking it since you will baby it till the warranty is over lol decision decisions. |
the gen2 is a better deal, ide go with that. |
I'm going to the dealer tom, see both and will hopefully come home in one! |
Gen two, newer car |
Gen2, newer car. Worth it, probably taken care of better. |
Get whichever has fewer miles. Guess that would be the pu |
I'd say Pu, but I'm biased... But anyways check them out, haggle. See what you can work out... |
Pffffffftttt, warranty. You have/had an Evo with a GT35....it's going to take you all of 3 hours to start throwing crap on the car and destroy your chances of getting a dealership to cover warranty work without stocking out every time. I say be a cheap ass, and make it fast. Though, I will say the 2nd gens drive better than the 1st gens. Edit: Just noticed you were in the Chicago region!! We have a good group of nator members up there. |
Genpu. Btw @Spoofmastafly, I shoulda hit u up sooner, I'm in Waikiki at the Royal Hawaiian |
Got the pu in 2011 new for 21.5k so why pay 21k with 17k unless its a tech package which does run 3k higher |
fr-s......:poke: |

Ill see how far down I can get the gen pu, if it's anything below 20 ill definately heavily reconsider. Kinda made up my mind on buying the won.... |

Also, you never know who owned it before you. What if that person beat the shit out of it? Just some things to think about. Good luck with whatever decision you decide to go with! :) |
So...are you buying this car for your self to have a second toy or are you buying it for your kid? If for your kid get the genDONE so when he totals it you can buy him a gen2 and it will be an upgrade to him. |
I'm not going to lie, I had the same decision and chose the Pu pretty much for the push button start. Lol which I love now, but still wish I went with the first gen because A. I love the white (what I was looking at) and B. it seems a bit cheaper for bolt ons, Cobb's specifically. Either way, they're both nice. And they both have their plusses. |
bought a '12 GTI. That's right, I went there. Goodbye mazdaspeed forum! :fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou::fuck you::fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou:: fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou::fucky ou::fuckyou::fuckyou: |

You have to much money and lack intelligence. Dont bother posting when your kid get tickets for racing and then totals the GTI. Also was being nice holding it back before but not now. Your GT35R 430whp EVO blows. Dont be proud about making 30r power on a 35r turbo. How does it feel to lose to stock frame turbos? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL |
