Well, I don't have any military experience, but I definitely think it's a little overboard how they're punishing you and using you as an example. Everyone should get a second chance. What I do know, is A LOT, about steroids, being a big workout guy. While I personally dont take them yet, I have researched, A LOT. All these things they teach about steriods are the typical "drugs are bad for you" school myths. Everything is bad for you if you abuse it correct? Advil, tylenol, soda, coffee, sugar, etc. However when taken PROPERLY, which most people do not do, they have no true negative effects. The only reason they're illegal is because of professional sports. It's the same idea as having a turbo or supercharger, or nitrous on an engine in a class where you're supposed to be NA. I'm so tired of hearing how all these drugs are "so bad for you" when they're used in the medical field day to day. Cocaine for example is constantly used for things such as blood clotting. Or, what do you think novaCAINE is....why do your gums/mouth go numb after that shot at the dentist??? MEDICAL Marijuana. Please provide me an example of someone who's overdosed on it... OH WAIT, it's never happened because it's impossible. It's also been proven in recent studies, that it is in fact NOT a gateway drug.

I don't know if you know this but I'm pretty sure you hear it a million times a year, NO Tolerance on drugs, I know people who have been kicked out over taking someone else's prescribed Advil. A rule is a rule and its not that hard to follow.

It makes also the Air Force look bad.

You don't need drugs to be physically fit.

I was in the Army. According to my old urinalysis administrator (also platoon Sgt) Steriods are only tested for when someone is under suspicion of using them (ok at PT guy goes 300+ boss and ripped). This was a few years ago though so times may have changed

For Steroids suspicion, your command has to pay for it and send your sample to the only place in the US that does steroids testing for the military. UCLA.

Its 3 grand per test and they usually have to have an investigation started already.

actually you are the dumbass, cuz funny thing, while i was on them my x GF cheated on me, i went to the house n there was another guy there, guess what, i didnt spaz out, i asked her to come outside, he ran and hid in the house somewhere but i told her shes a whore and left.. where was the roid rage there? if somebody is already a very aggressive person and has anger issues then yes it can intensify their anger more but it doesnt just make somebody a angry person, rather than looking on the internet at BS or watching scifi movies i have experience with it and know first hand, plus ive been around it for years in the gym and you never see roid rage

^THIS. Roid rage exists in 2 situations. Someone has major anger/temper problems, or something like bipolar disorder.
The second, is of course, when someone is taking them way overboard. Again, abusing something has negative effects. Doesnt too much alcohol cause some drunks to become angry/stupid? Doesnt a strung out crackhead get angry and nasty when they need more drugs? Seriously pull the blanket off from over your head and wake up to the real world. Half the little kiddie stuff you were taught in elementary/middle school is bull shit.

What I will say, is that i dont believe in hardcore drugs such as crack, heroin, acid, pcp. But simple, harmless when used just a little bit drugs such as weed, cocaine, steroids, alcohol, are fine.

I have a few friends who are juicing, PROPERLY. Ive never seen any sign of extra anger or temper.

I'm the legal NCO for my Chain of Command. People fuck up, which is understandable. You got caught and now have to pay the price. I didn't see what type of discharge your getting out as, but anything but an Honorable Discharge and VA won't even look at you. I've kicked out many people, everything from popping hot to Murder.

I cant bash you because I popped hot on a piss test. Went through hell and back, but my old Chain of Command had my back and I,too, was going through a rough time. Still no excuse. I had senators, full bird Colonels and a 1 star write letters for me to stay in, 3 times I had to explain my case in front of the 1 star General. I was lucky and got a second chance. But that was the old Military. Ever since the draw down, they are not fucking around anymore. You fuck up, your out. No excuses.

2nd, for you to have gotten your DD214, were you on probation or did you have some sort of disciplinary action before getting popped for unauthorized supplement use?

3rd, were you taking AAS or HGH, were you using it to stay lean and heal after prolonged training or just to size up and grow?

HGH can be argued for healing if you had an injury. Depending on your MOS you may still have a career in another branch.

You have to wait like 2 years and X months to put on E4 after you sew on E3, it varies based on if you are a 6 year enlistee or 4. Also varies if you get put up for SrA below the zone which allows you to put on quicker cause your hot shit.

I got non-req'd when I was in the Corps for getting a reckless driving ticket off-base...Would have picked up Corporal which would have had me in 4 year Sgt range...but alas...my dickhead SSgt sent it up the chain even though I was on leave when it happened and I had to pay the consequences. My favorite part of your story was the reference to OSI...my father was an agent for 20 years and used to tell us about shitbird flyboys like you all the time.
