(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah yeah i know, ive been told, but enough bashing, damn! lol ive learned a lot over the past day by looking and reading up on upgrading the fuel pump because when you add mods, the fuel pump isnt strong enough. my bad for being a FAIL...but again, im just trying to do everything right because its my first turbo car. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I know the group buy isn't going on anymore for their DP, but I would still go with the CNT racing downpipe from ERZ performance - it's what, $350 now? You still get a cast bellmouth and it's 3" all the way back. Since you donated, you have access to the for sale/trade forums, so here's what I would do: - Buy a used SRI ( < $200 shipped usually) - Buy KMD internals ( ~$330) - Cobb AP (~$550-ish unless you can find one used) - CNT Racing DP ($360 + shipping) - JBR RMM ($90-$120) That should put you within spitting distance of 300 whp (maybe a little over 300 with a good tune) and well over 300 wtq, which is a handful in a fwd car, but a hell of a lot of fun when you get used to it. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Also, I forgot to mention - I'm not making anywhere near 300 on the stock turbo (hopefully soon when I can get my DP installed, then it's on to the wmi setup/relocating the battery), but I'm making probably 260-ish whp right now and the way the k04 makes its power is so much fun - almost 0 turbo lag and just gobs and gobs of torque down low. With those k-series turbo motors, the 500 whp is all at the top of the rev range, and I'd be willing to bet that the peak torque numbers are actually pretty close to those of a fully bolted k04 ms3 (mid-300's) - with the gearing and a 1k+ higher redline they're definitely faster than the ms3 on a track, but I think in the real world, the ms3's power is more easily accessible. For that reason, in my mind at least, it's more fun to drive even though it's a lot slower than a k-series engine with a turbo. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score my turbo RSX-S made 289wtq @ like 6500rpm on a log manifold with a big sc6162 turbo ![]() I much prefer the small k04 for daily driving in comparison to the lag on the RSX, it was glorious when it came into power though. biggest worry about the rsx/civic is their transmissions are not made for that much torque/power at all. which is why I got rid of mine ![]() eventually I'd like to do all of the above mods and just drive the car and enjoy it, that sounds awesome.

| Not Ranked : 0 score It won't blow up on you if you keep it stock. And if you don't, change your FP/internals. You'll be fine. An Evo will cost you at least 10K more than a MS3. With 5K worth of mods you can make the MS3 equal or better than the Evo. But after all it's up to you and what you can afford.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The only thing the MS3 lacks compared to an EVO is the AWD. You can make similar power with them, and the ride and features are much better in the MS3. You get a FP and you can get tons of HP out of these cars but being able to put that power to the ground with the FWD is where the MS3 falls behind (but is probably more fun trying)
