Good price for a new 2011? Hello, I was offered for a Liquid Silver without the tech package for $21,866 +tax and dmv fees. Is that a decent price? I live in the Los Angeles area. |
Well, It might depend on your geographic location. Here in S. Florida, I got my 2011 silver without the tech for $21k + tax tag etc. |
I got my 2011 speed3 black w/tech package for $24k out the door |

Did you buy it cash? I was thinking maybe I should ask for a OTD price and go through my credit union for finance. I think it would help me to get a lower price on the car. In what city/state did you buy the car? |

In LA, that is pretty close. Within hundreds so no sense waiting, grab it up. |
I paid $24250 OTD for 2011 with tech package. Probably could have got for less but I ran ran out of energy for negotiating. I was also set on one with only 8 miles on it so only one dealership had one. |
Thanks to all who've replied! I'm debating if the tech package is worth it. |
I have enjoyed the tech package. Even though you can add a GPS it is nice having the audio come over the factory sound system. The adaptive headlights r very cool. The pushbutton start adds to the boy toy aspect of the car. The Blose stero ain't the best but I figured it would give me factory wiring and ten speaker holes if I ever wanted to upgrade. |

My 2011 Liquid Silver Speed3 was 25,400 w/ tech minus 16000 for my other car + t,t,t. MD/VA...........fyi |
I payed 24900 OTD for my 2011 w/tech. No down and went through my credit union. Bought in MD. |

Thanks guys. I will do the credit union route. I want to spend the least amount of time at the dealer at all costs. I hate dealers that place is depressing! |
Just got offered $26,400 for a tech package out the door. Should I bite??? |
Too much...go lower or go home. Play the game |

Playing hardball with the internet sales guy right now and he's playing hardball i guess. Says he can't do anything else. Can't drop it any lower than 26,400 out the door with tax and stuff for the tech package. |
Go to another dealer in the area if available. And try to go there yourself instead of dealing online. You can pressure them more if you're there in person and attempt to walk out. |

So you havent even test driven the car yet and you are 'negotiating' online? Dude seriously go in there yourself and be as stubborn as possible |
That price is too high and I would save the extra on the Tech package because with you replacing the audio, the extra parts you get are nowhere near worth $2k. Either way you still got a lot of room to haggle. |
did you use New Cars Pricing and Comparisons Local, Regional and National Car Price Reports at TrueCar at all to gauge their pricing? some markets are different due to taxes, kickback, regional marketing fees, etc. I paid 24450$ with tech before TTL for mine back in mid-may right after the incentives changed, that was after negotiating with several dealerships in my area, I drove 230 mi to get my car at that price. Obviously we're getting close to the 2012 release so that might persuade dealers to sell with less profit. |
truecar says 24,200 is about what other people are paying w/tech. odds are you're not going to get much less than that right now unless you drop tech. |
I did a lot of back and forth to get $24250. This included working with dealers up to 230 miles away. I would say at $24200 before taxes you are there.....pick her up and drive the fuck out of it. Then get RMM these guys are right it thunks like a mother when slamming second stock. I don't have one yet but have verified it clunks..... after the fourth time I'm suprised the firewall isn't dented out of the way yet:Eyecrazy: |
Yah I feel like I'm pretty much at the lowest they could sell the car for. I think what's killing me is that california tax and dmv fees. As soon as I get word on the rate from my credit union I'm going to the dealer. And see if they can beat my credit unions rate :) |
that's exactly what I did |
I paid less but knew the dealer still good deal |
I picked my 2011 w/tech up for 22k. I used USAA's special pricing thing as a starting point and put down $2500 and traded in a 2010 Genesis Coupe. Pretty good deal I think. |
