Got my Pod, git my gauge, where to wire?

Okay so I got my vent pod from Block8Head, and I have my glowshift gauge. I have extra wire and all that shit, but I need to know since it's a vent pod how do I wire it through there to go down to the fuse box or something of the sort?

Anyone have an install source, the one on the Block8Head website has all broken images, so I cant seem to find instructions how to remove the vent or how to get the wires and the vacuum hose through to where I need them.

You drill a hole and feed the wires down.

Wholegrain 04-08-2016 10:29 PM

Yea, real simple man. Just drill a hole or i've read people torch up a Philips head and just poke a hole.

csmaan12 04-08-2016 10:31 PM

Ok cool, that's pretty much what I was expecting to do, which will be a nice clean look too so that's good.

Wholegrain 04-08-2016 10:33 PM

For sure man, don't really sweat it. Post pics when you're done!

Will do for sure, I just hope the gauge works lol, heard some stuff but it's pretty much a trial and uograde to a better gauge so I don't really care.

Any idea how the vent comes out, do I just rip it out?

InkedInspector 04-08-2016 10:37 PM

just pull it out.

Maybe that will help some, I just troll around and read. I went for the a-pillar one.

Finished up 2 days ago, took your advice, drilled through the vent, kind of winged the wiring, but it turned out very neat and clean looking....except I accidentally drilled an extra hole in the vent, but its not really noticeable.

Eh pic is before I disable the one by the speedo. Just comparing on AP for now and eventually that one will change to monitor something else.

sh4d0w 04-11-2016 12:33 PM

Lol just trolling man nice install. At least if you over boost you will know :P

Its all good thanks, it dawned on me when i got it, but i like the look :D.

Overboosting is why AP is still monitoring the high/low, because it did over boost a couple times, so I'm monitoring until I figure out why.

Is there no boost gauge that can also display the max boost psi, similar to the min/max numbers that the Accessport has?

Im not sure to be honest, I'm sure there is, I probably just missed the detail when I was deciding what to buy. Plus this is a cheap gauge so I don't expect much of it other than to show me boost/vac.

My prosport gauge (the gauge at the top of the pillar in the picture) has peak recall. Just make the pull and click the little satisfying button and the needle will climb to your peak for the drive. I am sure more expensive gauges have the same feature.

Good to know, thanks
