Guardian angle running stock turbo Since you guys have been giving me such good advice I thought I would toss one more question out there. So I am running the stock turbo and I am tuned by Lex. My question- Is it worth purchasing a guardian angel? I run 21psi tapering off to 19 around redline. Car runes great but I do over boost to about 22.6 psi occasionally. I run a catless downpipe so creep could be an issue. Anyone running an angel on stock turbo here? It would add some peace of mind but if it's not needed as this power/boost level then I could invest the money elsewhere. I wouldn't use it to run VTA so that aspect of the angel does not interest me. Thanks again for all the great advice. And yes, I am going to donate tonight once I get home as I have been given well over 25 bucks worth of valuable info. |
If you're consistently seeing that 22.6 number you're probably higher than that. That's generally the max of the stock map sensor. To answer your question, yes you could benefit from a ga. Using bad grammar from my cell phone. |
I had the same problem with the K04 overboosting, I was hitting 21+psi running with just wastegate pressure and 15+psi with the wastegate disconnected from the actuator and the wastegate flapper wired wide open! I tossed my stock downpipe back in for now to get it under control but a new catted downpipe is going in this weekend. |
ah shit. alright, thanks for the heads up |
