Hard Starting When Hot

My 2011 MS3 (stock, 90k miles) has started to require a couple of seconds of cranking before starting after sitting idle in hot weather. Cold, it fires normally, runs strong, and is not showing any codes. FWIW, the plugs have around 30k miles on them. The manual calls out fuel quality as a possible cause. Should I try a fuel additive as a first response, and if so, which one is recommended?

Thanks team!

What kind of plugs and what kind of fuel? Mods? Type and age of battery?

No mods other than a K&N air filter. I don't remember specifics about the plugs, but they were recommended on the Forum and precisely gapped when I installed them. The battery is only 8-9 months old. The fuel could be an issue; I always run 93 octane, and usually fill at QT (which is supposedly Chevron), but on occasion give in to the loyalty card price reductions at Kroger.

Make sure you try and twist the battery terminal connections. I've had several autos that had problems only to be the connection at the terminals (or lack there of) like @wes3id; said

I would change your 30k plugs. possible causes could be a going out starter, dirty or stuck open egr, plugs

I 2nd this. I've heard of people having similar symptoms with less miles on their plugs fixing it with some nice NGK's or Denso's.
