Default Help Deciding on Exhaust

Mods in Sig - looking for an exhaust but there appear to be a decent amount of options. Obviously I'm not getting the exhaust for performance, it's mainly for sound. I've watched many YouTube videos and it's down to these two: CNT Racing catback and Ultimate Racing catback.

CNT RACING 10-12 Mazdaspeed 3 catback Exhaust (76mm piping) (blue tips)

Anybody have experiences with both? Pros? Cons? I believe both exhausts are 3in piping with 4in tips. I did noticed the UR is like $750 and the CNT is $550...any reasoning for the extra $200?

Any help is much appreciated.

Ultimate racing was my choice until I heard Cobb's sound. Fits me better, but the price can go fuck itself.

I know lol, if memory serves me correctly cobb is like 780 on discount from someone I know.

I already have an atp catless dp so mine is already going to sound a lil different then some.

I like my CPe triton quite a bit. But I just went catless and it definitely doesn't sound as nice as it did.

I haven't heard it from outside, so I couldn't say for certain. I literally just finished the DP install about 3 hours ago and stopped really laying into the throttle when I got a hard shutter from overboost. From inside the car, first impressions where the car sounded better before, now it's just loud and I can't tell much difference in it from any other exhaust I've heard catless.

In theory, the corksport design is more free flowing than the UR. UR has many unnecessary bends. Plus my CS sounds awesome. Very throaty deep sound. Just my 2 cents

Tis a shame you don't have a genwon as the HKS sounds one-of-a-kind and by far the best out of them all for either body style. Also sounded beast-mode catless and it was insanely loud for sure. It was also hightly resonated so it had that hollow V8ish sound. But alas, due to those resonators, you could barely hear the exhaust turbine and the Poo version pales in comparison.

If your going to keep it dual go CPe, it's a little extra money but excellent quality. The tips are pretty adjustable so you can get them flush or have them project. I went with the optional black chrome as well. Really gotten nothing but compliments on the sound.

I've got CNT catback and their catted DP I payed like $750 for both iirc. I've got about 50k miles on them, and no complaints here. I've got 88 duro trio mounts so I definitely get cabin vibes. Some drone but don't all exhaust get some? The left side tip doesn't soot up at all it still looks brand new lol. Must be their design because it all flows out the right side, but i don't give a shit and because racecar. The 4in tips look proper too.

Might be slightly biased, but have a buddy with corksport catback, and i myself have an ultimate racing resonator-less catback. In my own opinion the UR is far more guttural, has a really throaty growl to it. Deeper, not louder than the corksport, using corksport as reference. In my own opinion, id suggest the UR, also i have n experience with the CNT unit. Regardless it will sound great. Good luck!

I have the ARK exhaust. For the price its at (I think its like $1100?) I wouldn't get it again. I got mine at a pretty good deal with installations at their facility which is the only reason why I got mine

I have a cnt exhaust with no res and a catless dp, I like it a lot now but at first I had some fitment issues. The huge res that come with it will hit the chasis brace like a mofo, so either you need to cut it off or remove the brace . The other thing was that only one of the tips will get sooty , exhaust flows out of both but only the right one gets black, go figure

To me, the CNT exhaust seems too quite for my taste. For me it was always between the UR or CS.

You are correct sir. After i installed it i when to an exhaust shop and got all the res cut off ad it sounded way better. Then i got a catless dp and is super loud now,almost too loud for me

No res and catless = drone. My UR drones like a son of a bitch, but the external sound makes me not want it any other way.

I was not a huge fan of my new exhaust note from inside the vehicle after the catless downpipe install. It is borderline excessive as far as noise, and it does drone if I am cruising over 65 or so. But then I heard it from outside, and just like you CWP, I will deal with the drone. I work with a bunch of anti import, V8 or gtfo types, and even they say it sounds good.
