I think the rotella had more to do with it than the dp.

Raising your idle to 1000rpm will also help prevent it.

You're right. I don't know about his cooking skillz, but I do know that when me and my friends talk about tooking with someone elses' wife, we're not really in the kitchen cooking....if you catch my drift.

ok, so I've got a technical question:

if it's loss of backpressure which causes seals to leak.. does that mean that there actually isn't anything that much wrong with turbo?

i've installed dp few days ago, and surely enough it started smoking at idle. I'll raise the idle rpm, I'll put in thicker oil, and as long as it stops smoking, will it be fine?

Come lil one I shall take you under my wing....
Calling a car a "unicorn" means nothing more then saying that under all the same circumstances it will react better then the next car. Ie: you and I have the same car, same miles, same everything. We go to a dyno and I pull 500 hp. You go up and pull 600hp. You would think results would be the same but since your car is a unicorn it reacts much better then mine did. It's like how the old timers used to say " oh that's a wednesday car" (cuz wednesday is the only day of the week that work actually gets done right) Same applies for other things, saying JBR's products are made using unicorn blood is saying that his parts, all thou equal to the competition, have much better results. My referal to the '12s is because they seem to benifit more from tunes then previous years, but it's more then likely only because they are newer.
