My money says fuel cut. Internals ASAP. How about listing your mods so we know what the hell you've got. If you're not going to donate, don't expect too much help around here. One hand washes another OP.

This site, yeah most of us are immature, but you'll find more useful info and all the help you could ever need, period. Donate, grow thick skin, and join the brotherhood. Otherwise, there's always mazdas247 for you.

fuel pump is fine. Bad fp doesn't necessarily mean cut it just means low fp.

If it's not the SWAS, I would have to say that it's your BOV, since you said it was adjusted. Put the stock BPV back in and report back.

Pssssshhhh BOOM isn't worth it, no matter how cool wifey thinks it is.

i have a log, its just not in the OP. check post 31 for log.
i dont go below 1600 while WOT.

the gfb bov is easy to adjust, but for some reason i cant get it perfect on this car. but the piston stays closed during idle. i like the bov, just dont like the pshh that much. i will see about changing back to the stock bpv.

100 hp?? your crazy dude. Mine gets atleast 85HP...ATLEAST!!!! with the toddler mod im holding 135hp at 6300 rpms. add a little formula and you get like 4-5 hp. dont let a poopy diaper weigh you down though.

eric is right. im actually ruling the FP out of the problem. Its holding up good right now.

on mods...id skip the catback. just do the standard internals/downpipe/intercooler and you will be happy. catback should be last on the list...minimal gains. if you really want to see some gains see if e85 is available to you and hit up one of the e-tuners on here for a custom tune.

My research has yielded the conclusion that the stock catback flows plenty until you go big turbo....so the only reason to change it before upgrading the turbo is for a differant sound.

No worries I'm just ragging people for entertainment....I should be able to start modding within the next year...maybe...I just have to wait for my clearance to get back so I can start working and then I also have my va rating that should get finalized in the next few months which will be tax free monies coming in every month....but then I gotta get caught up from being out of work for 5 months and buy a house....lol

And as has been mentioned, there is absolutely 0 performance gain for changing the CBE until you go big turbo; stated another way, there is no non-rice reason to do CBE on K04. It's the cats you want to look at if you are trying to free up the after turbo side, either by removing one cat with a test pipe, or going with a single high flow cat long downpipe like Cobb's.

I had a chance to look that log over a little better, and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary for an OTS map. Triple check for boost leaks, even check stuff you haven't touched like IC charge tubes. Double check your TIP is on your turbo good. Also, like 9900 said put your stock BPV back on and see if it still does it. It won't take long and you can eliminate it that way. Just some food for thought.

Put the car in economy mode and it was doing it on the highway every time i would get into boost. changed to safe mode and it still did it once i believe.
luckily, ive done a few driving logs and i actually was able to catch the problem in a quick log. i will post it up soon, but i will probably make a new post.
wont be today though because i got to get it from the wife and she wont be home until 5, and i have to sleep because diablo 3 comes at midnight and im about to lose my lunch all over the place

I guess I am lucky that my wife wants to keep her '12 MS3 Bone stock and is learning to actually drive the car 100%. (She has Autocrossed it 3 times already and has only owned it for 2 months) I am also lucky that she knows that the "psssshhhh" sound does not do shit and judging by this thread, would net her slower times on the Auto-X course.

well im glad my wife gets what she wants even after someone tells her its really pointless. and having a 30% vent 70% recirc doesnt really take away from acceleration. we treat our car with respect, we dont street race or rape the trans like most fwd street racers do, so venting doesnt effect much. and just like that i can be full recirc which is why i bought the gfb. we dont race, we arent worried about auto-x....so why worry if venting will take .02 seconds off anything.
im also glad that my wife already knew how to drive the car 100% before even spending the money on it.
im pleased that shes very excited to go stage 2+ and get pro tuned.
i am not pleased that she is forcing me to get a wrx/sti though...because i feel like i want something else.
but hey thanks for staying on topic....your .02 cents was tasteful

There is a difference between knowing how to drive a car fast and knowing the cars absolute limit. I assure you, if you have never been in any kind controlled enviroment, with someone instructing ...wether it be a road course...auto-x course...etc...you do not know how to push the car 10/10th's in a smooth and controlled matter. I promise a seasoned driver in a stock MS3 would absolutely wipe the floor with a n00b in a fully modded one without much effort (I learned this the hard way many years ago).

As far as my comment...I'll agree, I was jumping on the bashing band-wagon. My apologies. Good luck with your car either way.

oh and my wife knows not to autocross with FWD these cars gotta be fun to autox though

i get what your saying, and i couldnt push the car to the 10/10 on a course, but i know i can push it close to that. the main problem with these cars is even if the car is modded, it will def have traction problems wouldnt it???

i dont autox anyways so id get crushed lol
im becoming fed up with this car and its "problems". now i know why they call it gen poo

p.s. now that i re-read your first post, i get what you were saying....i thought u were trying to be a dick.

i dont autox anyways so id get crushed lol
im becoming fed up with this car and its "problems". now i know why they call it gen poo

p.s. now that i re-read your first post, i get what you were saying....i thought u were trying to be a dick.
You would be surprised. These cars certainly do not have traction issues Autocrossing in stock form. Granted, if you had the wheel turned very hard and slammed on the gas, its going to spin, but in a FWD car....Just like a RWD car you learn to modulate and be smooth with throttle application to make it around the corner drama free. It's also worth noting that FWD cars are not at any real disadvantage against a RWD....or even AWD car on the Auto-X course. It's a "Great Equalizer" I guess you can say.

I got it in a log. happens twice in each log. im cruising, give it some throttle to pass, and it just dies on me, and even whhen i push the gas it wont go. it feels like it dies forever, then it picks back up like nothing happened.

this is with the economy tune. its teh samething that happens in stage1+ and in safe mode.

I'm not an expert but it looks like it's ur fuel pump. It's dropping down to 500's @ 3krpm. If I'm wrong someone chime in. These FPs are cam drivin and should hold pressure at that rpm. But urs is deffiently dropping

No..there's no electronics hooked to the fuelpump..look at your other logs...like I said it's mechanical and something is binding in the internals...I'd get ur new fuel pump and bet things will go away
