| AshFromCan | 09-18-2014 05:20 PM | Homemade O2 Sensor Socket So I tackled my TBE install a couple days ago and couldn't be happier with the results. Of course like any time I lay hands on my vehicle, I encountered some problems. Not going to get into why I didn't have an O2 sensor socket, but when it came time to remove the sensors, the install went from frustrating to dead in the water...
Until my buddy fabbed up a make-shift socket from a 7/8 wrench and a random socket in about 20 minutes. Most ppl are probably going to think I'm an idiot for even trying to use this thing considering how easy it is to damage these sensors. I was obviously hesitant at first as well. The car only has 12500 Km on it so I figured they wouldn't be too stuck in there. Went for it and they came out flawlessly.
Just wanted to share what my buddy made and see if anyone else has done this before.
