I owned an 07 SI and a 2010 WRX, now a 2011 Speed 3. I choose the Speed 3 for the same reasons already mentioned- best bang for the buck for under 25K. Plus it's a nice practical car and a sleeper that will keep up with all the 328I Beemers where I live. And my WRX got 18-19 MPG driving it light footed around town. On the highway it was not better. I read the reviews- the one from Consumer Reports got my attention with their 30 plus MPG on the highway with this car. So with my style driving I get 29.7 combined plus cruise at 75-80 on the highway no problem. The six speed makes a huge difference over the WRX in performance and fuel economy, which the WRX only has a 5 speed and cannot get good MPG.
