On a serious note, I have a good friend that works as a sales guy at a Mazda Dealership. He showed me invoice and all that crap. Out the door (with tag transfer, dealer fees and tax) he said the cheapest I could get one from him was 25,200. I'm sure if you get to that amount you could get it a little lower. Idk how good you are at negotiating but I definitely wouldnt pay more than 25k for it.

I paid 25k flat for mine with no tech package.

I got my 09 for $21,500 out the door. Payments are about $420.00/month.
Can't wait to ditch this payment.

dude if you get taken by the dealer its your fault not theirs. I paid 24000 for my speed 3 with tech package and windows tinted. the sticker was 27500ish. I owned another mazda so I got a discount for that. They gave me a second key fob for the wives mazda 5. and 1000 more for my trade than anyone else. I think out the door I am at 14500 and the payment is 325 for 48 months. Its you that makes the deal. The dealer is about making as much money as they can. Its your job to shop with your brain not your dick. I dont work at a dealer or have any friends that do. I just know its a game and someone has to win!

i bought a brand new 2010 speed3 yesterday for 24k, thing came ith everything.

I bought a 2010 speed3 this past February, I lucked out it was the last one on the lot, came with the tech package and 104 miles on it. All said and done 21,500..

In south Africa, the car retails at R338,000 all in. The exchange rate is around 6.70 to the dollar at the moment, meaning its around US $ 50,500 :/

we get the adaptive bi xenons / led tails / Bose setup but the rest is like the non tech package, no navigation or Bluetooth or electric seats.

And we get ripped on the interest rate, 9% is a good rate this side :/

im from Germany and very surprised how cheap the ms3 in other countries is! ;)

Ive paid here 25800€ thats nearly 37000$. And my car was a demo car with ~350km (from which i drove 150km) -> second hand from my mazda dealer... The list price for the Mazda 3 MPS (thats the name of the ms3 here) is something about 31500€ thats 45000$.

My car has the full package which is sold in germany. Ive seen that there are differences in other countries therefore ill list a few for better comparison: Bi-Xenon headlights with AFS, RVM, seat heater Bose sound system, navigation, keyless entry system, dual zone automatic climate control, tinted windows, rear parking sensors, bluetooth. The price includes a 3 year warranty + 2 year warranty extension.

My insurance costs are ~570€/year (~815$). 1l of 98 octane gas (called "Super Plus") which is recommended by Mazda costs currently 1,50-1,65€ thats 8,15-9$ per gallon.

Nope no trade in or anything. You see it was originally 23,000 and they were going to drive it down from some state but i didnt want that. So they put it on a truck.
I went to mazda to say hey to a friend(mechanic) and saw them pulling it off the truck. The unload er hit the side of the truck putting a dent in the bumper and a big scratch down the side of the car. 16,423 was the new price after negotiating that they buy and paint a new front bumper and i would have the side fixed. (FYI I'm a body man and a painter) so i took it home and got to work, was good as new 2 days later :) 120 for the base coat and FC720 clear coat from SW paint for 105. WINNING

I got two dealers within $42.00 on the base:

$23,999 (for Tech pakage) $25,856 OTD. Windows were already tinted and got that free. 33 miles on the odometer. Needless to say, I went with this deal. We ended up with 4.95% interest on a 72 month loan. I added Ipod integration and an extended warranty. $2,500 down and $1,500 trade. Final payments $389 a month.

Turned down the fluffy (read: B.S. protection packages and super extended warranties and other major dealer money makers). I did get the gap insurance and 3 years 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty (I drive a ton of miles). I can upgrade to the 100,000 mile B2B @ anytime before my 60,000 mile one runs out for a nominal fee.

I never play the dealer negotiation games. I email 10-12 dealers within 100-150 of me and basically ask them for their best deal and that they get one chance and that I have no qualms driving 200 miles to save a bunch of money.

I try to avoid car salesman and try to only deal with sales managers or the store manager. I'm sure I could have gotten a better deal if I wanted to spend 2-3 hours at the dealership, but I don't have that kind of time.

I get a BIG laugh when I see places like Carmax trying to sell used 2010/2011 MS3s for more than you can buy them new... LOL.

just bought mine last week, 24 495 msrp, 500 state fair discount, 0% apr, no pay within 90 days, they wanted to charge me 500 dollars from delivering it from japan to ohio to MN. told em to go screw themselves for wanting me to pay for them not having the car. they called me back and they said they would pay for it. still had to pay for new plates and taxes tho.

Just bought a 2010 Speed3 with about 11k miles, in great condition yesterday.

Paid 19k basically, and it's loaded. Nav, tech package, basically everything. I think it's missing the aiming headlights and that's about it. No heated or power seats, not that I care.

Only things wrong were a few paint chips, which I touched up today. New Dunlop rubber too.

It's my first real car (over $2k) and I'm in love. It looks nice, rides great, all sorts of tech toys inside, and oh yeah, it's pretty fast too. Although I'll be doing some stuff eventually, especially with the torque steer and the boost limit in 1st and 2nd. So probably a OBD-II tuner thing, and then I dunno about the torque steer. I'd also like something for the turbo lag, but I doubt I can do that.

please don't quote your TTL price, quote the sales price.

taxes, your trade in, tags and such will all change the out the door price and is not worth comparing. list what you paid before all of that is factored in will be a better idea.

remember in most states, when you do a trade, that difference between the trade-in and new car price is deducted from taxes.

for example I paid 24445$ for my car, but had no trade in, so I paid the full amount of tax.

had I traded a car for 10,000$, I would only pay tax on 14445$. @ 6% the difference is 600$ on-to my out the door price (866.70$~ vs 1466.70$~ tax)

If we're comparing invoice prices then I paid 23.5K for my 11 MS3 with tech pkg.
