I can't stop giggling! Installed SRI today

Howdy All

For fun today on my day off I finally installed the Cobb SFI that I picked up off the for sale forums. Obviously it was quite easy and I made sure not to have the clamps anywhere near the ecu harness (I've been reading!). The install took maybe 45 minutes with me being anal and going in and out of the house to get tools.

I let it idle and warm up while I reset all of my radio and nav settings and then took it for a spin...woohoo is this fun. I never thought I would get such a kick out of such a cheap and easy mod. Smiled for the entire drive with uncontrollable giggling at times. The spool and bpv noises are great. I drove around almost exclusively with the windows down for the day and thought it sounded about how I was expecting. Tonight I finally drove with the windows up and it sounds like there's a hole in the dashboard leading right into the engine compartment...it's nice. I would say if you have a Pu and haven't thrown one of these on you don't know what you're missing.

This is my second mod in addition to the the Torque Solutions delrin shift knob I found on amazon. $22 for a big nice teardrop shape knob. It's countersunk, lower than stock, and bigger than stock which is nice because I have huge hands. Its probably half the weight of the stock knob and I love the shift feel now. Feels like you can feel the gears engage and the gates better. I need to take a picture and make a post about it.

All and all I'm a happy camper and loving my now 3 week old speed. I have ~1600 miles on it now and was thinking I should really change the oil now too. Maybe tomorrow.

Mod bug has taken over, might as well finish up the mods. After i got my intake it was game over. I giggled my ass off too when i drove it down the street after intake install

Wait until you get a COBB AP and flash the stage 1 map, then you will really love the performance gains.

Wait until you get an AP and HPFP, then get tuned, you'll giggle like a little girl.

Then get a DP, After that get some E85, and you'll giggle again.



That's how the mod bug works, it bit me hard last month and I spent $1000 on the car over 2 weeks.

I have had a cpl cars ive tuned up and added things to but idk what is about this car!!! im constantly on here looking for something to buy and take it out for a drive! I too have only had mine for 3 weeks and have an exhaust, SRI, BPV, and now on the way is AP and a DP! The wife is pissed and i dont care lol! I have honestly felt the gains in everything ive put on this car!

exactly! i too giggled when I installed my sri/tip. Then after AP, test pipe, hpfp and e85 tune, i feel like god. Then there guys with Bts laughing at my mods with 400+hp lol

Y'know I've had moments where I thought I should stop being responsible and just add up what my remaining mods will cost, pull the money out of savings and get all of it in one go.

I feel like at my snails pace, I'll end up spending more money on maintenance than gofast parts.

Downpipe or TP, AP, Internals, RSB, Intake, e-tune, and you should be pretty set for awhile. Unless you are like me and always want MOAR

Just added my mods to my sig.

My want list is HPFP, TIP, OCC, DP and catback, and full replacement short shifter. That'd run me about 2 grand if I were to get it all new. Guess that's not that bad...

What I need is new brakes, so I guess I should just start there.

It's not the mods, it's the mod list. "Painted fog lights" and "corksport license plate" isn't something I'd put in my sig. I am honestly amused you don't have a car charger and AP mount on there.
