I Hate Coyotes

So here I am bombing through the mountains (western NC. You really should go) at 2:00 in the morning when a wayward coyote magically appears in front of me. No time to stop. I barely started to swerve. They are supposed to be smarter than this.

I caught him with the right front corner and rolled him under the car. It broke the front cover, the ugly grill, the under tray, and the fog light. Well, he didn't go cheap.

The first animal I've hit in twenty years.

Pics of battle marks?

I killed a squirrel once... I tried so hard to avoid the thing. Idk maybe it wanted to die under my wheel, all i heard was CRRRRAAACKKKPOOP. :( Poor little guy.

Ouch that suck man. I used to drive an 06 altima and hit a cat once at like 80ish. The bumper dam near self destructed.

kritz 09-10-2013 09:41 PM

Did you stop and pick him up? They're delish! Tastes like great spotted owl or Piping Plovers.

Poor coyote, the speed can be repaired under the insurance.

You can kill coyotes here in Utah and get $50 for each one you snag. To bad they don't do that where you are at, I'd say turn that bitch in for the cash to fix your shit.

Animals in need get their act together. I ran over a fuzzy bunny the other night. Didn't even see him..definitely felt him tho. Passengers didn't say a damn thing until AFTER .. shitheads

Redfor 09-18-2013 07:04 AM

Sorry to hear it man, Good news is that animals are considered "An act of God" and shouldnt affect your insurance rates. Or at least me hitting a Deer in KY didnt affect mine. Hopefully the damage wasnt bad as mine.. cost the insurance Company 10K in damages, me.. 250 bucks.. On the bright side, got rid of all my rock hits for 250 bucks =)

motherfnmonsta 09-18-2013 08:56 PM

Ya coyotes is bad around here, cause they released a bunch of them to kill wild turkey and now they are kinda over running the area. So thank you for helping out with population but sorry to hear about the damage man.

Stupid Coyote

I'm surprised at how much damage that silly dog did. He went under the car and under the right wheels. He basically broke every piece of plastic on the right front of the car, even the fog light (no great loss there). Well, I do get to fix some things that I had intended to do all along. Does anyone know of a decent fog light (decent as in one that puts out usable light) that is a direct replacement or close to it?

I'm going to take my wife's Astro Van out to hunt coyotes.

Im bombing down a sideroad and this cat is on the side of the road...and as im about to pass by...dashes out into the road. I managed to miss him with my tires but i heard him roll and smack the underside. Sucked. On the bright side no damage and it was just a Toyota Matrix.

Almost hit a coyote awhile back. If I hadn't swerved I am pretty sure I would have had a lot of damage on my drivers side.

I was leaving my apt when I had my Del Sol, cruising down the street when a cat darted into the street all I heard was a loud thud then saw it run off in the bush. Pretty sure it kissed my bumper, didn't leave any damage.

Way too many years ago I hit a large deer while traveling at super legal speed in my 240Z on the NY Throughway. Luckily for me the fellow flew up and over the roof. The poor fellow died of broken legs and terminal road rash.
My Wife hit a bear. Honest
My daughter hit a bull. In daylight. She insisted she didn't see it. (?)

Coyotes are in the cat family not dog

I thought this thread was going to be about a douce bag in a mustang

VegasMS3 09-21-2013 06:28 AM

My dad hit a male deer once, luckly that night he was driving the van instead of the MG Midget he normally drove. Pretty sure that would have been pretty ugly.

Luckily there are very few cats on this forum. I bet they would be really offended by this statement.

As did I, figured it was gonna be about some pos mustang thinking it was fast and getting its doors blown off. Not taking a bumper clean off!

Sorry to hear about the accident man

defprun 09-27-2013 07:22 PM

Cats are more fun to hit, I like dogs.
