I hate u stupid blue led over shifter!

Why do I need a blue led above my shifter? Is it so I cannot close the cig tray cover with out getting a blue refection in my face? Is it so I can see my hand when I shift? Cause I sure could use it by my computer when I jack off to porn in the dark... Or maybe its cause some stupid ass likes leds and said hey wouldnt this look cool. Oh and I have tried to put tape over it but it makes it worse:damnit:

You may be the only one. I think it's subtle and adds a lot to the interior. To each their own.

A lot of cars have a light to illuminate the center console. Its nice to see everything at night.

Yah I hate it and no adjustment like the center console. Thanks for the love

Ckmazdaspeed3 06-30-2011 01:50 PM

I do have a giant vag! I guess that its a small bitch but it is something that bothers me and most people who have ridden in my car at night. I am just saying how hard would have it been to have some way to turn that shit off. I can turn the radio flashing thing when changing volume off. and I can turn off the zoom zoom and good bye. Why not this too? its like the auto headlights and rain sensing wipers nice to be able to choose if I want that on.

not possible I asked when I bought it.

Easter Bunny 06-30-2011 02:43 PM

Just unplug it.

Ckmazdaspeed3 06-30-2011 02:45 PM

Ugh, maybe I remember it wrong, but I'm about 95% sure that it is listed as one of the personalization options in that stupid little brochure that comes w the car... Remember, most of the guys that work at the dealership are retards...

DONOTBUGME 06-30-2011 02:45 PM

get a double din touchscreen hu, and with the light coming off that you won't even notice the little blue light.

topher3134 06-30-2011 02:51 PM

rice it up a bit? I hate those big nav screens I like my car dark inside at night. Its just me. I didnt buy a mazda 6 because it had a giant screen in the center of it that was stupid bright at night.

I know...its like bitching about getting a bad bj instead of being happy my schlong is getting sucked.

JS + MS3 06-30-2011 03:15 PM

Grab a screw driver and poke the shit out of that led light hole

And if u like it dark at night, limo tint ur windshield. That should do it.

/fking ghey thread

Not like I lured u in with false hopes:damnit:

bro2 06-30-2011 04:54 PM

It doesn't bother me at all, I actually don't even notice it anymore. If it bugs you that bad, just unplug that shit.

oh10speed3 06-30-2011 04:56 PM

I actually like the blue light

mizboo102 06-30-2011 05:02 PM

Were you using scotch tape? Maybe... electrical tape?

JS + MS3 06-30-2011 05:06 PM

use those black tapes to cover it up

or stick a tampon into that hole

I got to get the damn thing out of my ass first!

Jeffy 07-01-2011 05:12 PM

hahahahaha so much hate in this thread. It doesnt bother me in the slightest, but im about to get technical on yo ass. what type of tape was it try gaft tape, it will completely block out light

BLK_MS3 07-01-2011 07:46 PM

I actually kinda like that gay blue LED. :D

K7addict 07-01-2011 07:55 PM

Tape off the area around it and spray plasti-dip on it, remove tape and voila! No more light and reversible. Plasti-Dip spray is my answer for everything now.

Elusivellama 07-02-2011 12:45 AM

The electric blue ambience is an awesome contrast against the reds and other blues on the HVAC dials, stereo unit and instrumentation. Gives it a very Japanese flair without being too ricey.

Reedy 07-02-2011 01:54 AM

I didn't like the pulsating to the music blue bullshit but I don't mind the blue mood lighting. Just as long as it doesn't flash.

Yours pulses to the music? Thought the blue around the radio would only do that when changing volume...

RodneyAE 07-02-2011 10:50 AM

If it bothers you that much put a piece of electrical or duct tape on it!

Stealth01 07-02-2011 10:53 AM

DUCT TAPE FTW. If that doesn't work, take it to the dealer SERVICE people and ask them to unplug it.

RevolverRob 07-02-2011 11:00 AM

You must have some anal friends if they hate the little blue light too. Everyone has ridden in my car thinks it's kind of neat.

Personally, I like the blue LEDs, but if I had a red car, that would drive my OCD insane and I would've already ripped them out and replaced them with red LEDs. These things should be color matched to the exterior for a really cool ambiance.

Uh, tape, plasti-dip, pop the upper console off and unplug it? You've got lots of options here to cure your problem...

Yea when I picked the car up from the dealer I sat down in it with the salesman and he showed me how to sync my phone and play music with the bluetooth and blue lights started pulsating and all kinds of shit. The salesman through it was cool and I just told him to make that shit go away asap. There's a setting in the headunit somewhere for it.

Humm, checked mine. It will only pulse when turning the volume up or down then it stops. You can turn this on and off, checked my buddies MS3 too, same thing. No setting in either of ours to make it stay pulsating to the music. Is yours a '11?

It's a 2010 MPS, Australian model. Mine still pulsates when I adjust the volume, I think the setting is in the headunit under some bullshit "Musical Alchemy" setting or something.

robry 07-04-2011 06:53 PM

Don't think we have that in the US model but I like the blue glow in the interior, to me, it's just enough to see shit at night.

Bipedal 07-04-2011 10:36 PM

Yeah, first day I got the car I popped the door handle covers off and unplugged the leds in those, then popped the housing for the roof led and unplugged that as well. It's much nicer inside now, especially at night.
