I think I've really grown to like...

So I was getting my car appraised at a local mazda dealership and came across this beauty.

It was well equipped with all the bells and whistles for $26900

Wheels were powdercoated matte black but the hoodscoop, roof, side mirrors and rear bumper were vinyl wrapped

I think I've grown to like the genpu, especially a CWP.

Damn other than the wheels and back, the scoop, and mirrors look like crap. I could even go for the mirrors but the scoop being black negative. That dealer on the forum or what considering all those are usually done eventually.

$26,900 WITH all the stuff??? I think the $26,900 is the MSRP and there should be a dealer-added sticker with price that includes the mods.. Unless they did the upgrades and are giving them away for free..

MSRP on that car is $26,000 assuming that it has ALL options ( sirius, all weather floor mats, light kit, auto dimming rear view mirror ) other than the tech package ( which it doesn't have ).

So they are definitely charging for the additional stuff that they did if they are asking $26,900...

According to Mazda, MSRP is 24k for a base model not including destination which is another $800. So basically base price on one is 25k with no options.

Duval Mazda helped my sister in law out on her 2 with a warranty repair when the dealer she bought it from was being unhelpful. The GM and SM there had been really cool about having a local Mazda Meet there, I just never got it set up. My only gripe is their fucking tech missed the VVT Issue last year on our CX-7. It was before the TSB, and the fucker obviously was unaware.

As for the GenPu, it is slowly growing on my too. Lots of new local club members with them, and the mods help too. If there was simply a redesigned front bumper, and taillights without the huge globe around them, they would look even better. Hell, a retro to Gen1 front bumper would look killer.

looks pretty good, the scoop does stand out though. Id like to see a CF scoop for it, it might not be as bad since CF can look grayish instead of a deep black like this vinyl wrap.
