| Not Ranked : 0 score Possibility #1 - The dealer did a bunch of research on the car and checked police reports. Possibility #2 - They were lazy and listed it as 1 owner without doing any research whatsoever. Then lied when called out. I know which one I'd go with...

| Not Ranked : 0 score Second thought is that what if they fake it like a truly shitty dealer would. Demand to take it to an independent mechanic for a pre purchase inspection (PPO). If they refuse, run. I really think if the vin in the police report is false, it would explain the showing on only 1. Also, call your insurance. They can look up prior claims to that vin. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score still sounds fishy, They obviously want to move the car off the lot ASAP so use that to your advantage. Ask your self DO you REALLY need a Mazdaspeed 3. May want but go with the need mindset and they will probably lower the price much more. Another thing I don't know if this would apply but that car is going on 3 years old and only having 7200 miles on it. I would want to check out the rings and stuff. Cars are not built to be sat and not driven that long and not have some issues. My mother had a Nissian Altima and she drove it literately 500-1000 miles a year 4 years into owning the car we found out some of the gaskets where completely shot from lack of use.

and I can tell you with out a doubt they are almost all shit. I have so many pictures of the GDI turbo and non turbo engines with wasted rod bearings. bad heads. bent rods. cracked timing covers etc. all with around 30-40k miles. When I was working for Lexus I think I didn't one engine in three years. At Hyundai I did three in my first month. We had two come off the truck brand new with rod knocks... I didn't take one as a demo because I didn't want to get stranded... LOL The 3.8 genesis motor isn't to bad though if you get the stick. The auto has a lot of issues. But even with that the fit and finish of everything will fall apart after two years. And Hyundai 100k warranty or not, if you aren't the original owner or don't have EVERY service record they might not offer full coverage.

| Not Ranked : 0 score OP doesn't have to snatch anything up. Have you not read anything in the thread? The whole situation smells fishier than an unwashed whore. The dealership may be telling the truth now about the VIN and everything else but that doesn't change the fact that they weren't 100% transparent from the get go. That alone should make anyone feel uneasy, especially when buying a relatively cheap 4 banger turbo that are prime candidates to be beaten on and then traded in at the first sight of an issue. Low mileage doesn't always translate into a unicorn. Some dealerships are just pieces of shit.
