Default Intake systems

I have had my new 2012 MS3 for 6 months now and ready to start with some upgrades. The first thing I want to do is put a intake system but don't know whether I should go with a cold air intake or short ram intake system. I would like some opinions on what people think about cold air intake systems(AEM, K&N, Mazdaspeed, HKS, Injen, etc.)

When I had my genwon, I went with a Sri because I had previously hydro locked an engine in my first car. Ran through a puddle 3feet deep in the middle of a really bad storm. From what I read when I was looking for the genwon, the gains were about the same. I'll be getting JBR when it's time for an intake in the pu.
