Default Interesting display

So today we went out on a late night cruise down to philly for 1am cheesesteaks. haha. As we got onto 76 we started going about 70-75... Few miles down the road a charger pulled up next to me and thought he'd be cool... really don't know what he was thinking as I did a 4-5th gear pull and let him be. Well after the pull I noticed that the display where my clock, avg fuel, and temp are located... it started to dim. I was like what the hell... so as I used the dimmer, brightened it, turned the screen off. It still seemed to dim. Then I noticed it would get bright, then fade dim again. More the top portion of the screen too not the whole screen. I did have the heat on and the center vents closed so I thought... hmmm maybe it's getting hot and turned the heat off. That seemed to fix it as after a few miles it went bright.... Then as we got close to our destination it did it again. so i said screw I'll deal with it later. Well after we ate and left... started the car... and it was fine... drove for an hour... stayed normal the whole time. Not really concerned with it unless it keeps doing it... thinking it was just car gremlins or some shit. Figured I'd throw this up hear though and see if anyone else had this issue.

Did own a boosted mini cooper that was slightly modded though in the journey

Mine has done that also... only on long drives, when its really hot or cold out.

It always comes back to normal next time I drive, and there isn't really anything useful on that screen anyways.

Those screens are finicky. On a real hot day after my cars at work all day it will be dimmer for the first five minutes or so before it comes back to normal. Not really a bother to me.
