JBR Short Shift Plate

Hello all,
Today i installed JBR short shift plate and i got to tell you gear throws are minimal now! I have it set up all the way to the right (shortest setting). One thing i noticed while driving and i shift from 2nd to 3rd to 4th there is a clunk coming from under the hood, is this normal? I mean if its normal I'm fine with it im just worried i might break something….
Please let me know….

If there is a clunk now and there wasn't a clunk before. Make sure the shift weight is not hitting anything throughout all of the gears. Have someone look while you run it though. It should not be making a clunk.

The reason for the lighter weight is with the stock weight you will get a clunk/bang when going in to gear and some rebound as well. Never use the stock weight. If you're looking to improve the feel and ease of shifting a heavy shift knob will do the trick and they look cool too.

Ok after installing JBR counter weight clunk is gone but i have grind going from 4th to 3rd, only when driving not while stopped and going throughout the shifter.

Installing a shift plate effectively increases your shift speed. You might try slowing down your shifts a tad. If you aren't already, try rev matching downshifts. Finally, the Genpus aren't big fans of max setting on that plate. You might try backing off the max and see how it feels.

I do all the above, rev matching and granny shifting.
Ill try dialing back on the setting.
UPDATE
I got it all adjusted and it works great right now!
Thanks all for your help!

I had the same thing with my car and when I had my wife shift while I looked... my shift weight was hitting my cai. Not sure if this is what's going on in your case but let's hope it's something small and simple like this.
