Default Lied to by the stealership

Ok here's my problem; upon signing papers to buy my 2012 pu in feb the salesman offered me a "special" warranty through that dealership that Mazda doesn't offer. He said it would allow me to mod anything on my car and everything would be covered. He went on to tell me whenever I got any kind of rock chip or scratch that I could just bring it in and it would be fixed right away. An example was he said if I put aftermarket wheels on and they got cracked by a pothole that they would replace the exact wheel. I didn't hear this guy wrong as I kept askIng about the warranty and if this mod or that mod ect would be covered. My wife was in the room also abd immediately told all her friends about the amazing deal and warranty we just got. So when trying to take it in yesterday to get some rock chips fixed they looked at me like I was fuckibg retarded. Told me that rock chips are neglect and that it's my responsibility to fix. Anyway now I don't even want the thing. I know I was probably being a nieave butt fuck but I can't believe I was so blatantly lied too. And now my wife is pissed off. Anybody had similar experience?

That sucks man... I've never heard of that before. You could take matters into your own hands, and give his wife surprise butt secks while she's sleeping? Just a thought.

If you didn't sign any special paperwork, and didn't see anything in writing, he will deny it all, and you're fucking retarded.

caveat emptor.

when it sounded too good to be true, didn't you think it was too good to be true? ugh.

You should probably have paperwork from the warranty that states the coverage.

This is why my favorite word to salesman is NO, it bring out the attitude I would get the day after I buy the car. You should have known better, they would say anything to make an extra buck on commission. Now go back and read the warranty agreement and see what it actually does cover. If by chance it does say rock chips bring it to the dealer and pointed in their face. But in reality, I doubt it says anything of what you mentioned.

Might have to translate for the OP (caveat emptor)> CAVEAT EMPTOR. : a principle in commerce: without a warranty the buyer takes the risk.

You shouldn't listen to anything a salesman says about an extended warranty. The only job the salesman has is to sell you the car (his commission is only based on that part). It's the job of the person in FINANCE to sell you an extended warranty (he gets commission on that part). Unless you have it in writing you are screwed...

Salesmen will say anything you want to hear if it means you'll buy the car. If you ever work for a dealership, you'll notice that its not worth even getting to know any of the salesmens names because they come and go so often. They pull shit like this, get fired and move on to another dealership, pull the same shit again and get fired again, etc..

When it comes to buying a car, just remember everything they say is a fucking lie. If they tell you your bumper to bumper warranty is 3/36 tell them to eat a dick. While they are telling you the truth, you might as well just assume they're lying. Otherwise you'll be like, aw this guy is honest, and then he shoves his cock in your ass and you come on MSF and make posts like this.

Asking a salesman(any kind of salesman) not to lie is like asking a pile of shit not to stink.

The first salesman I talked to about a speed3 told me I could get it with a sunroof. Haha. Needless to say I went to the next city, told them about it, laughed our asses off and they knocked off a grand from their price.

Car salesmen are hit and miss just like every other profession.

You should go back and read what you signed, since you obviously neglected to do so in the first place.

Never heard of rock chips being apart of warranty coverage, but they do sell "door ding" coverage, which typically states they will pdr any vertical panel which is not greater than a pre-determined size stated in the contract.

Anyway, let this be a lesson.

Is that something else the Salesmen told you? I got a feeling you are going to discover that is untrue either. I doubt you have any paperwork about this special warranty either. I think all did was add 5k on to the MSRP on the write up sheet and you are 100% SOL. You might be able to complain to Mazda corporate if you did actually pay that much over MSRP, if, Mazda has any policies in effect in regards to that with their dealerships.

You might have a state dealership trade association with an ombudsman you can complain too if you did pay out that extra 5k out to. I don't know your area.

That sucks dude, lesson learned. The best way to avoid any hassle is to email them prior to seeing the car. Shoot them a prospective lowball offer in writing! Do half the work before you even see it and make sure you get everything in writing!

Don't let those fuckers talk, you prescribe the conditions of a sell, and if they don't comply within reason fuck'em!

It is like our fucking Kia dealer saying 4 free tanks of gas. The free detail with service is in writing, and those poor fucks have to clean the kiddie hauler every time we go in. that is the time it gets washed, so they are so fucked.

watch it. sometimes finance guys tie in a lower rate to the extended warranty purchase, and your rate would go up if you cash in the warranty. Just something to look for.

Ouch, that sucks. ALWAYS get something in writing when a salesman or finance person tells you something that comes with the car/warranty. My MS3 was my first dealership purchase, but luckily I had my parents I could go talk to and ask for advice.

It's doubtful you'll be able to 'cash in' your unused warranty. They will deduct the unused portion from your financed or payoff amount. No cash to you, monthly payment amount won't decrease, but you'll pay your car off a couple months earlier than expected. This is all assuming you didn't walk in with a bag of cash.

Oh, and don't do this next time.

Yeah it seems like a ripoff, but I think it has to do with the fact they approved you for a loan based on the car being worth xx amount of money. The EXT. warranty cost you more, but also increased the value of the car at the same time. Now by removing it, you devalued the car, and if you just kept the money and didn't apply it to your loan, they have increased their exposure in case of repo. You will just find that now will pay off your car earlier based on price of warranty divided by your monthly payment size as well as some interest savings.

not if the money for it was financed...

How long have you been paying on it, and how good is the interest rate. You could always go and get it refinanced elsewhere like a credit union.

What you purchased was a warranty package-that you got assraped on. Extended warranties are an ok product but the purpose of them is to make money-same as youre bullshit warranty you bought on your tv, refridgerator, washing machine-you bought it, forgot about it and will never use it=profit. end of rant.

Part of the warranty package you purchased was wheel/tire insurance. This product is presented to you as if it covers the wheel if there is damage to it-that in fact covers your wheel if it is so fucked up that it must be replaced. essentially for it to be that fucked you would be using your auto insurance because your suspension would've fallen out.

As far as the extended service contract you purchased, the law has been changed. We (yes I'm a car salesmen) are now able to mark up the warranty as much as we see fit-before the government limited us to 100% profit.

You can cancel most of these services and get a pro-rated refund that will go straight to your bank. The reason that it goes to your bank is because if it came to you, it would be considered a string loan(borrowing money on borrowed money) which is illegal in the USA. It will not effect your monthly payment, however it will shorten your term as if you were to make a 1 time payment in the amount of your warranty refund.

If you have any questions on this subject pm me and I can give you some advice on how to go about it in a better way. This reply is already long as shit-sorry, I kinda do this for a living.

You should know your salesman name by the way. He fucked you hard.

Not all insurance agents lie! I work for farmers part time and I don't rip
people off! I try and educate them on insurance so they know how it
works!

But a lot of companies do anything to promote sales, like the whole 2 for 1
Special adrianas had! Lol! That was a classic...
