It's on 2x4's cause its too low to get a jack under. As long as you don't do anything crazy, you'll be fine.

I wanted to add something. My stock bolts came off fairly easily, Just used a breaker bar but they ddnt put up much of a fight. When I put them back in I put a bit more muscle into it then I had to do to get them off. I am not the hulk or anything lol, Just wondering if It is possible to over tighten the bolts to the point of damaging anything? thanks

Use a torque wrench. Be careful when reinstalling the bolts because they are easy to cross thread when the brackets are not lined up perfectly. Especially on the tranny.

I've done it before with a torque wrench, and without a torque wrench. I think the recommended torque is somewhere around 70-80 ft-lb...

As long as you get it reasonably tight with a santandard-sized 1/2" ratcheting wrench, you'll be fine...and of course, start the bolts by turning them counter-clockwise until they "click" and seat into the thread before turning clockwise to prevent cross-threading.

ya thanks guys. the rmm is installed already. The bolts went in fine and I was careful when threading them. I don't have a tq wrench I ddnt want to buy one so I just used my 1/2 breaker bar and put some stink on it when tightening them down. I was more worried about over cranking them lol. I will pbbly jack up the car after a week and make sure they are still snug. thanks again for all the input

"Putting some stink on" with a 1/2" breaker bar might actually be overkill. You should be able to get them more than tight enough with a regular ratcheting wrench...

lol I did use blue loctite when I did the install. Should I be worried about potentially OVER tightening the bolts then? Cld any harm come from me making them as tight as I possibly did? thanks

You're probably fine, but remember that you're threading into aluminum with the bolts on the forward bracket, so it's good to use a little caution. Aside from making it hard to get them back off, you probably haven't done anything negative.

A torque wrench should be something that everyone working on their own vehicle purchases first before spending money on mods.

And use a little Blue loctite when working on bolts that see vibration and such. Make sure you don't use Red unless you are pretty sure that you will not be taking things off again in the future. I ran out of blue while doing my first RMM, so I used just a little red, and the bolts/threads did not enjoy the process of pulling things off again.

Hopefully, UPS will be delivering my Stage 2 CP-E RMM today so I can install it tonight. The old Corksport inserts on the car now are just not for me. Anyone interested in the inserts, I would highly recommend you just save up and get a full RMM replacement. The inserts feel better than stock for like a day and then you are right back to a stock feeling experience and are out some $$$.

wtf do you mean too long? you get the bolt semi-tight with a regular wrench and then use the torque wrench to get to the exact torque spec. only need a couple degrees to be able to do it.

stop being a fucking pussy before you break your car.

This.

You didn't need to herk it. Especially if you used loc-tite. 70 ft-lbs doesn't require much effort.
