Looking for black Mazdaspeed 3 emblem... Best place to buy? I am looking for the Mazdaspeed 3 emblem in the blacked out version for the back of my wife's 2011 MS3.. For some reason, hers is missing the emblems altogether. I would also like to get her a black "evil M" and black script that says "Turbo" for the other side of the hatch. Where is the best source for these things? I have seen a couple on eBay, but the prices are so varied and I want to make sure they are oem Mazda quality..but is $60 reasonable for just the Mazdaspeed and $45 more for the 3?? Methinks tis ridiculously costly for these! Would even settle for plain ones to plastidip if necessary, but prefer them ready to stick on. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.. |
Ebay prob your best bet. Maybe call your dealer and see how much they are. The evil ms to me there cheap. They don't contour the body like the stock ones either. Maybe someone who has debadged there car will sell u theirs? |
I'm going to be the nice guy and not rag on you. This place isn't really about "style" unless it has function behind it. I would say get in contact with a local Nator member who has debadged or is going to, and swipe them. Then paint them by hand. the turbo badge on the other hand, is dumb and rice. but, autozone should have it. |
Buy OEM and do it yourself for less than $30. It's not hard, took me like 3 days to strip the existing paint and chrome with bleach. Takes a few hours to paint and a day or 2 to dry. http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...emblems-24878/ This should be the right emblem, don't know what the clip is all about, mine didn't have one. https://onlinemazdaparts.com/parts/2...agramCallOut=1 P.S. Learn how to search, it'll help a lot here. |
Van, just plasti dip your badges. Aaron, Mike, and myself are getting together to do this and a wiper delete in a few weeks. We are gonna rag on ya if you do the turbo badge, just fyi ;) Little too much rice mi amigo. Like the others said, search the forum next time, there are already a ton of threads for this. |
Just find a stock chrome emblem, soak in bleach for awhile, paint satin black. |
Just looking to replace the OEM badges since they were obviously removed. I saw one with the turbo badge in the same font and mistook it for stock. As for the black..just looks better on a silver toned car imho.. As for the comment on "style"... Why not have a car that is fully functional in the performance department AND looks good? I have seen some of the fast but ugly cars out there..not for me. My Vette kicks major ass and looks good doing it... Why can a Mazda not do the same? As for ragging on me... I don't get my feelers hurt easily..so no big. |
They have black ones all over ebay. I agree on the turbo being rice, throw MPS on it if you want to be different. I personally love being debadged. I don't want people to know it's a speed. |
I just plasti dipped mine yesterday and ordered evil m off ebay for 14 bucks http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/13/u6ugeqa5.jpg Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk |

I thought I liked it, rocked it for a few months. Got bored so i painted my original emblem black. Like it much much much better https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7015/...022ffe56_z.jpgIMG_1805 by tungsten6, on Flickr The EvilM was just a little to ricey/Streetunitish for me https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3699/...3ceef0ec_z.jpg1599735_734862996524239_681283936_o by tungsten6, on Flickr |
The evil M is cool. But it's a waste of money to order it from ebay. Take it off, cut it (hacksaw or dremmel). Sand, prime paint. That's it |
Yeah DIY. Then if you mess up buy one off ebay lol Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk |
For all the people that ordered the emblem of eBay. Has anyone tried to heat the middle up a little to give it a slight bend to sit better on the trunk? I like the evil m sometimes, but for a black pu like mine it seems like a waste to do it since it's not going to give it that pop like it does on other colors. |

Haha. I don't know man, mine is black mica with the standard badge blacked out, it looks sick imo. I don't see it being much different with the evil m. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/08/y7y2a8u4.jpg Before I painted my rear valance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I like the blacked out emblems, on black car,I plan to do it also. But for me, doing the evil m on a black car is pointless. It doesn't give that same pop factor compared to a black evil m on a white pu. What type of black paint did you use? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I love my evil-m. But I think that's because the paint on it is fading and chipping  http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...ps500d469b.jpg |
Anyone ever thought of trying out the LED backlit badges? I'm considering it, either a straight red one hooked to the brake lights or one that is white with the park lights and red when the brakes are applied. Wouldn't mind doing the front badge backlit white like the Merc's but haven't found a pre-made one like the rear. |
