Low battery for key fob?! Yo! So recently it's been cold here in the mitten. I been having troubles with my pu when I go to warm up my car for a few minutes I open my door and the car starts beeping as if I'm walking away with the fob in my pocket, but it's in the car and had been warming up already. The whole way home I get the key not found message and the light flashing on the cluster. Aaannnddddd dehhnnnn I get home and try and lock the car and can't for some stupid damn reason. I look like a dumb ass getting in and out the car. Is there a way to change the battery in these fobs or am I gonna have to go ham on the service manager. Hahaa [emoji3] |
In the far away land of glove box there lays an ancient book with amazing secrets to your car called the owners manual. Go forth and find your common sense question. Its a watch battery. Also before you touch the book be sure to recite these words... KLAATU BARADA NICTO |
changing the battery is stupid simple. |
In the far land of doucebags there lies a sideways fuck. [emoji3] I knew I'd get my answer faster on here than rummaging through the manual. Thanks BRO Quote:

CR2025 battery, take key out of fob then pry said fob apart, replace battery, close and thank yourself you didn't let some dipshit dealership charge you an arm and a leg for a battery replacement. Then buy beer with all of that money you saved. |

I don't fuck with the dealer unless it's warranty related ofcourse lol. I just switched to my good fob and it hasn't been an issue. I assumed it was the same process as any other fob. |
