Mazda Extended Warranty

Question about extended warranty... my car is about to blow past the mileage on its new vehicle warranty and I'm wanting to purchase Mazda's extended warranty protection... are there any places that the forum knows of that sells them for a good price? Many of the motorcycle forums I'm on have specific forum sponsors that are known just for doing that and forum members save thousands since the markup at a typical dealer on them is somewhere between 100-200%.

who Im with.

Can take it to any dealer in the Country. Car has issue, take it to any dealership, problem is diagnosed, give them your Endurance card, they call Endurance and inform them of said issue, Endurance cuts them a check, repairs are done, pay your $100 deductible and off you go with your car.

Recommend taking the car to a dealer and doing it that way. These letters you get in the mail trying to sell you an extended warranty, don't trust them. My car came with a limited pre-certified warranty on the power train thru 100k miles then I opted to get an additional limited bumper to bumper warranty thru 100k. I recommend going this route. They may even be able to add it into your car payment, maybe....

research is your best friend. Ill take Endurance over Mazda's ext warranty any day of the week

Be stock going in for any warranty, or just say fuck it. spend the 2 grand on mods.

I have used extended warranties before, and opting for the $0 deductable was a way it paid off in 2 majore repairs when we were tight on $.

I skipped it on my MS3. I am modded, so fuck stock. $1000 to get VVT recently, $70 for a used AC compressor, and $150 or so for a freon fill if I do not go to a buddy.

As boring as it may be, my car is bone stock. It is my daily driver and I have no want to modify anything. I'm old and appreciate a working vehicle. I have a Corvette in the garage with no heads, so that's enough half-broke cars for me. Lol. I do like reading about what other folks have done and what they get out of their cars, though. :-)

because Mazda is going to be super strict while ive seen a number of friends with aftermarket warranty outside of mazda have their warranties honored even when they are modded. Fuck Mazda NA

Mazda no longer has an inhouse extended warranty program. They got out of that business a few years back.

I bought a 2013 last Sep and went with Allstate as my extended coverage.

Its a racket. You really have to do your homework and search for the best price on an extended warranty.

I'm paying for mods and Mazda dealers ext. warranty:loser: now all I have to do is hope I don't need to stock out, getting these parts in is enough work the first time around.

Also, keep a good relationship w your dealer, just in case.

I learned on my last 2 cars that the extended warranty is a waste your me. I'm as knowledgeable/capable as most techs, I know how to read the shop shop manual, and know a master tech if I'm really at a loss. Mazda's diagnostic fee is only like $160 if you really can't figure it out yourself. Unless you are strapped for cash and don't keep an emergency fund "most" repairs don't equal the cost of the warranty and most warranties try to get out of fixing shit. Look at Raider, his car has needed less than 2K in repairs , he's owned it for a long time and keeps up on maintenance. Remember, most warranties will try to blame you if you blow a motor, transmission, diff, turbo, basically anything extensive that the warranty company doesn't want to pay for.

They do for certified pre-owned. Bought my 2013 back in July, got both 10/100K Bumper to Bumper, and 10/100k Powertrain, along with the interior and paint coverage (Last two may have just been through the actual dealership, not Mazda as a company) Also got gap coverage. Yeah I may have paid a little more at the dealership, but because I opted for the extra coverage, the bank dropped my interest rate significantly due to their investment being protected.... Or at least thats what they said lol.

Are you sure its from Mazda?

I was told from Mazda NA that they no longer offer a factory program whatsoever when I called. That was last Sep.

Then again I wasnt buying a used car so Im not sure.

I had a "factory Mazda extended warranty" on my 2007.

Regardless, Mazda - even with their name on the paperwork - was never the actual company offering coverage. They used a third party warranty company for their extended program and THEY were the people you were dealing with when it came time to pay out - not Mazda.

Just an illusion of "factory coverage".

When I learned that, I didnt have a problem going with Allstate.

I'm in the same boat. Although the finance guy I was working with when I bought the car added in the warranty for the same price I was purchasing the car for. They knocked the car price down to work it in since I essentially bought the car before it even hit their lot. So that's at least a plus.

I'm testing the interior warranty out soon. Have a couple of stains on the seat and cupholder (damn you McDonalds!) that I supposedly can get cleaned or have the material replaced. We'll see how that goes.

Lmk how it goes, thankfully I've been lucky enough to not have a reason to test it out yet, 33k miles going strong, knock on wood.
