Someone corect me if I'm wrong but you can get 300whp or pretty close with nothing but an e85 tune. Intake, dp, hpfp internals and e85 you can see close to 330. FMIC and full exhaust I'm the 340 range. Seen 1 or 2 people hit 340 bolted on stock turbo and corn. Then the other thing to consider if we have active vendors on the forum. One or two might have joined in the anal rapage but edge has great deals. I got a GT30r EWG kit for under 1900. That's less than the price of just the turbo from ATP. That same kit was 2400 from ATP after adding stuff to make it work. When I say a active these guys are on here like a second job helping people out and trying stuff on their own car and reporting back what works and what fails or just giving advice. I coulda got a genpu cheaper than my genwon but went with the genwon because it felt more solid. People always say the genpu drives harder and feels stiffer but my genwon had Cobb suspension bits on it when I drove it and its pretty nice.

300 whp with just a tune is ridiculous, in a Z with just a tune, you wouldnt even be close but im definitely considering this platform because there is so much potential

A turbo kit for the Z is in the $8k + Range, with that kind of money here you can go built block + BT and rape Turbo Zs all day long.

If you are serious pull the trigger on the speed already. If you are serous about autocross and so forth you simply cant be mazda. MazdaSpeed Motor Sports, is a program you can get into if you race a mazda. Can get OEM parts as cheap or cheaper than dealers can as well as mazdaspeed branded performance parts.

As far as the MS3 suiting your needs it will. I drove a pos ford probe around before i bought my speed. Needed 4 doors because of new baby, still wanted something fun to drive. You cant beat the speed for that purpose. Can also haul everything needed for a track day in it no problem, and still get ~30mpg on the highway getting there.

With the mods in my sig, and a self tune that still needs some work i am currently around 280whp and 310 wtq. Also dont count out speed6's they are a bit bigger but really dont weigh that much more than a 3

at this point im pretty serious, im thinking of long term costs and money for my kid at this point, a Z is nice but i have a family now so priorities come first i got one day left and its making me anxious lol
