Let me know if any of you are in the Bay Area with these bad ass race cars everyone owns. I have a old slow muscle car if anyone wants to race. My daily is a '10 ms3. I like the older Evo's myself, but the new ones are decent. The 9's are by far better for modding and super fun to drive. Congrats on the new car, drive what you like and don't worry about it. If you get tired of it move on to a new toy, that's what I do. Play nice kids.

Test track #'s don't even begin to scratch the surface when it comes to evaluating how fun / rewarding a car is to drive.

The MX-5 (NC2 / 09+), BRZ / FR-S all can be had for under 30K and are more fun / rewarding to drive than any other car up to ~ 50-55K. The EVO X may be an exception but its some 10K more to begin with an its cost to own is way higher.

I place a much higher value on how the car feels from behind the wheel vs. the #'s it happens to produce. If I raced my daily driver's for a living I might have a different opinion but I don't.

There comes a point where there are diminished returns on investment. There's only so much power and handling limits a car can have before it becomes a drag in terms of a daily driver.
