my holy shit moment

so i finally put my race pipe on today and decided to to go stage to since i have the CS sri and TIH,Cpe HPFP and of course the AP . so i load my map and went for a drive ,not very many places to log but i had a few chances to push it a little and she was moving quite well .Then i noticed the AFR hit 9.0 during a third gear pull .. i pulled over and decided to reload the stage 1 map till i got home and did a little Qand A on the forum, started loading the map when the status bar showed up it just sat at zero for a few minutes then said loaded successful cycle key . so i did my dash was lit right up and the AP would not communicate(fuck me it's bricked was my first tought) kids and groceries in the car 20 miles from home..shut everything down for a minute unplugged AP ,plugged it back in turned ignition on and i got the menu so i hit uninstall and prayed real hard .Thank fully it worked so i could get driving again..reinstalled stage 1 when i got home and it worked fine...wtf up with that.
oh yeah about hitting 9.0 afr anyone care to enlighten me with some helpful advice.

Give it time to learn, and it could be that you knocked and it richened up, but you would have to post a log so we could see that, maybe do that without the kids in the car that way when you wrap it around a tree they just lose their dumb ass dad and not their lives.

Get a custom tune or read up yourself and tune.. The OTS maps are just beginnings. Every single car is different. Obviously this map may run great on someone elses car but not yours. So get a custom tune. It will probably make your car faster since it wont be so rich

9.0 AFR is the bottom limit for richness. The ECU is apparently SCREAMING something is very wrong. I would proceed with caution. Look for obvious stuff... air leaks on intake side, f'ed up O2 sensor on your install, that kind of stuff.

well i was more freaked out about the AP fuckin up but for everyones info i wasnt out data loggin, just had the opportunity to push the pedal going in a straight line. like no one else ever did that.
i think i will wait a couple of weeks till i get my DP in and get a proper tune or an e tune from one of the guys here , i dont want to fuck around and blow shit up.
