MZR 2.3 in a MidLana

Hi,

First of all as it is an odd question so I apologies if its in the wrong section however my brother is going to start a project to build a Midlana (The MidLana Project)

My brothers impressed with the torque of our platforms engine and would like to use a MZR over say the 3SGTE.
The plan is to get a half cut of a Gen2 (prefer the gearing) and use the engine/gearbox/LSD/ECU.

My question is around the smart-key system, has anyone done a similar transplant and have they used the smart-key start button, can this be done with using LF transmitters, and is this controlled from the ECU or another device that is piggybacked onto the ECU?

My brother is an Electrical, pneumatics, and instrumentation engineer that has done allot of work on his hobby bikes but not so many cars.

I'm not the most technical and I did try to search first :p

Your going to have to transplant the entire instrument cluster and associated components as well, if you want the ECU to work.
