Default Need some opinions on my BT build

So, i know opinions are like assholes and everyone has one, but i'm an ass man myself, so i figure opinions are pretty ok too.

I'm planning out and budgeting my build im gonna tackle next summer, and after a ton of searching, I have a general idea of what i want to do, but would love to get some critiques, just in case ive been reading some outdated info or im just outright wrong.

Right now i have a 2010 genpu with CS intake and apparently old TIP since it looks alot smaller than the 3" intake pipe, autotech internals, M2 catless downpipe, Autolite xp5263 gapped to .26, v3 AP and JBR 80 duro RMM.

I'm looking to make 450-500whp with some room to grow if i want to.

*Parts im planning on for turbo
-GTX3076r with EWG hotside bundle from edge
-90* elbow for dumptube
-ETS TMIC
-Bosch 3 bar MAP

I'm also planning on building the bottom end a bit:
-Manley H-beam rods
-CP pistons
-Edge engine stage 1 build kit with OEM rod and main bearings, main and head studs and cometic headgasket

I also figure since i'll have the head off anyway, i should replace the timing chain, water and oil pump. While im doing that should i look at getting the crank balanced? Anything else i should get machined?

I know one of the first things to get hit on is possibly choosing to go with a TMIC. I keep reading that on the genpu's that a FMIC isnt as necessary because of the functioning hood scoop, but i also see everyone default to "if you're going BT, go FMIC", but havent seen any real definitive reason why...can the TMIC not hold up to the extra boost? I know they have more heatsoak, but from what ive read they also have better response, so am i completely off base with going TMIC?

Ive also noticed in a build thread it looked as if the M2 DP can crack at the weld at the flange, so i may need to replace that in the long run.

Ive also noticed alot of people saying they need extra fueling at more boost, and i'll be honest, this is the one part i havent done alot of research on yet (working on it now), will a 5th port be necessary at this range? I'm planning on running e85 as i have it easily available.

Are there any other bits and pieces im missing that are needed? Any tips from the guys who have been down this road already? It seems like alot of people were replacing the oil and coolant lines with some custom pieces for the turbo's, is that necessary with the GTX series bundle?

Appreciate the help, i wana get this done, and do it right. I'd really rather now join the prestigious brotherhood of ZZB, so i'm taking the time now to get everything set straight in my plans so i dont completely fuck it up.

What's a GTZ ? lol

You didn't state your power goals...a 3076 is a fairly hefty turbo and it can definitely get you into aux fueling territory.

somma bitch, i knew i was gonna fuck something up lol

I'm looking for 450-500whp for the time being, but want to have some room to grow if i wana go more....from what ive seen the 3071 is good for people looking at the 450whp, but i havent seen much on them going beyond that so it just seemed like the 3076 would be the next step lol

You probably want a clutch capable of holding that power with some longevity, and you'll definitely need more fuel. I've seen meth kits get people to 500whp, but you may want to go 5th port for the convenience and particularly if you want more power in the future.

You'll want a bigger intake to add to your list. You'll definitely want meth too. And having the car fully mounted will also help. Don't forget to budget the tune as well.

I've seen some horror stories with meth, plus I'm not even sure where I could get methanol at lol, so I'm kinda leaning towards 5th port right now, and yeah a new clutch was part of the plan too, dunno why I didn't put it in the list... Trying to get everything done in one shot so I don't have to pull anything apart again later... Because I like to be lazy if I can...
Tune definitely needs to happen, I've been self tuning with the k04 which has been pretty ok... But with Aux fuel and the bigger turbo and such, I definitely want someone who really knows what their doing to get all my engines ducks in a row haha.. Just gotta decide who

Any input about the TMIC as far as usability with it being a genpu?

I like the concept / simplicity of TMIC + meth, but if you're going 5th port, I don't know if that combination is symbiotic for BATs.

Sounds like you want to read my build thread. I am a hair shy of 500hp on a 3076 with just a DO10 meth nozzle.

Mr.Speedy3's Up and Coming Build

Then @Matrix311 has a 3071 with 463hp, same setup almost.

Thanks man! Definitely some great reads and some good inspiration! When do you start seeing boost come on? I know even the gtx version of the 3076 has a considerable amount of lag vs our spool happy k04's and honestly I think that's a good thing to keep the stress off the engine at low RPM's and would probably help with wheelspin, but just curious as to when you're seeing it start to pick up.

I'm definitely thinking our builds are gonna be really similar except I think I'm going to go 5th port over meth... It seems like a safer method and i like the simplicity in not needing to have to fill two separate tanks with different fuels. If anyone has experience with having run both set ups I'd love to know what your thoughts were between the two.

While looking up parts for the engine build a buddy of mine who's building a gen Juan with a pte6266 said to look up speedperf6rmanc3 and said they could either build my block if I send it in or send me a block they built already. Any thoughts on going this route? Seems like a good choice being that I really don't want to have a huge amount of downtime (planning to take off about 2-3 days max to get it all done) and I'm not entirely sure how much time it would take to have a shop machine my block.

Only way you can have 2-3 days of downtime is if you buy a fully built block from say sp63, wait for them to build it and ship it then swap it. I was down for about 4months with my build. Time to buy a beater car lol.

With the 3076, I am 20psi by 4800. Full boost somewhere around 5200 I'd guess. Full is 28psi.

However, if you get head work done (porting) the gtx3076r can spool to 20psi by 3k lol. I wish I did that.

Topmount and meth can work.
I haven't seen anyone get the 5th/6th port to fit between the tmic and intake manifold.
Fmic may be required to go that route.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm actually thinking about doing the precision 5858 bundle from edge after doing some more research (and talking with my buddy about his precision build)... I'm definitely gonna have to start thinking about an fmic... Was really hoping to avoid that so I wouldn't have to cute my crash bar up haha

You can get some front mount kits with an after market crash bar so you don't have to cut yours.
