Need your help - clunk noise Hey guys, I have posted this on the OZMPS forum but thought I would post on here because there would be more people on this US forum.. can anyone help me with this I have a mps gen2 lux 2009, 50,000k on clock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMBP...ature=youtu.be Recorded this under the car, hand brake on, first gear, slowly engage clutch then disengage and then repeat. Have a go and see if your mps makes this noise too? First thought it was the rmm which I have replaced as you can see. I have heard a lot of experiences similar to this... Took it to my mechanic which Diagnosed "Knock" in front driveline, Quite distinguished when clutch is released in any gear from stop and pronounced whilst driving changing gears going up. After investigation with stethiscope we have discovered "play" in front RHS driveshaft in bearing before inner CV. Also can produce knock when tapping accelerator in most gears. Followed this up by taking it to mazda. They checked and found excessive noise from LH gearbox mounting. They want me to replace this first then re-diagnose. A cost of $460 after slogging me $65 to do a pissy little inspection. They also noted play in driveshaft is normal operation for this vehicle. Fair enough if there is some play, but I don't expect to hear knocking. If it was the tranny mount, would it still make the noise when stationary. I am going to check the tranny mount but I believe my mechanic was on the right track. Maybe even the splines? Mazda need to sort their shit out. Poor customer service too, especially when we have dealt with this dealership for 20 years. I just want a fix for this. Ruins the car for me. |
Please make sure you read your welcome PM. Then make your way to the new member section and post a thread about yourself. After you do that it is possible that someone may greet you. (You should have done this before posting) As far as your meaningless thread goes, do you think that it is even remotely possible that someone in the past may have had the same issue as you are having? Trust me, this has been talked about over and over and over again. There is this thing we like to call "searching" and I suggest you start doing that before you start another thread. No one will spoon feed you here. The site is packed with Information, you are going to have to search for the answers you seek. |
The youtube link is not right. Probably you copied and pasted the text from some other forum which shortened the displayed link. |
He also said in the thread title "need your help" but did not ask a question. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk |
Nice to see your so welcoming.. I have done enough research and searching on this issue. I actually did ask a question in there. Maybe go back and have another read. |
Your welcome. Can you please at least post a link that works? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk |
That link should hopefully work.. |
Yes. I have heard this sound, many years ago. Its been so long that I am not surprised you have not heard of it. This sound is created from the dickbent bar, coming in contact with the spredleg puss hole. Cure? http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...-found-126859/ Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk |
Have read that post numerous times, doesn't help one bit. |
Is that not the same sound? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk |

OP needs to read welcome pm. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Asshole. |
I can only lead a horse to water. I can not prevent that horse from kicking me in the nuts. This is of course metaphorically speaking, as I would never call someone an Equine. Doing so may be rude and hurtful. I also must note that I am not insinuating in any way that the OP enjoys kicking people in the nuts. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk |
Op brand new to site. Gets good link for info, reports. Hmm. Seems like butthurt is due. |
1 Attachment(s) We can report people? I just thought that button was just for looks. |
The butt hurt started from the second post. How much time would you have saved by just asking him to search and then posting the link? Instead, you dribbled bs in another 5posts......Dumb asses |
