New 2013 speed 3 owner!
 

Hey guys, I just picked up my 2013 speed3, car is awsome! I also have a 450awhp gg evo 9. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good tuning company other then cobb for the speed3? Also i have read that the speed3 turbos give out easly? Has this issue being fixed in the 2013?

Cobb is the best ap u can find. As far as turbos giving out I think that was more common with the genwon instead of genpu. Right now edge motor sports is having a black Friday sale.

COBB is your most reliable tuning source. The turbo issue as said above had to do with seals blowing out on the Genone. I have not heard of this issue existing with the Genpu. Welcome aboard. You will find that this site has basically everything you need to know all in one spot. When i first got my Pu i was on here every night for hours reading.

Congrats on the MS3 and +1 on pics of both cars!

COBB AP is the best route to go.. Now for who tunes the car thats another story.. There are a lot of proven E-Tuners that have done wonders for our cars! I for one go to @Lex; over at stratifiedauto.com ;-)

As for the turbos going out, if you run 21 psi all day every day dont expect more then 50K.. But, with your track record I think you would be BT already. =)

Thanks everyone! As soon as the weather gets nice i will post pics up! :] Also the evo tuning i did was open source tuning through boosting performance, is there such thing for the speed 3s? Im a noob on the 3s but an expert on evos. Lol. By the stuff i been reading the 3s are capable of making easy power by just bolt ons. Not the case with my evo. Also i just got a nice pic of my 3 from the dealers website.

One more thing how much whp can the 3s turbo handle without blowing up? My evo 16g is stock and making 450awhp.

Here is the evo and my brothers wrx.. both are running pure E juice. :] I will do these pictures again when the weather gets better... With the 3.

91oct is roughly 280whp 335wtq
93oct is about 295whp 355wtq
e85 mix is about 325-330 whp 365wtq

Not so sure on the torque numbers but they are relatively close

I'm from Des Moines, Iowa. Sucks I know. But are the speed 3s able to go on 100% e85 set ups on stock injectors and motor? Because I'm thinking about going 100% e85. If it is safe and will not blow the block out. But the evo is a monster, does 1/4 mile in upper 10s. Insanely fast.

After him stating that he was from Des Moines, I figured it was something fishy. That car was for sale in San Diego at John Hine Mazda, and being a standard Speed 3 w/o tech, He could easily find one closer then San Diego.
