New MS3 owner in PDX!

New owner here! Bought a lightly used 2013 MS3 with 10k miles on it. Traded in my 2013 Subaru BRZ because I have a newborn. I cross shopped it with the FoST and decided that for the money, I was happier with a loaded MS3.

My thoughts: good choice, then I scrolled down and though "wow, the fr-s/br-z is so much better looking"

Great choice trust me! on the long run you are not going to regret it. I have a family and this car has the best of both worlds, sports and family comfort. My last coupe was when I was recently married 15 years ago but once you start having child's, the need for room and comfort becomes important. Another thing I love about ms3 is that I pull down 60/40 seats and I'm able to transport my clients computer equipment and any other stuff I like. Definitely won't get this with a fr-s/br-z. The car looks awesome but you have a priority and that is your newborn. My friend had one just like yours in red and had to sell it because he wasn't able to go out with his whole family and ended up buying a focus st in yellow which he doesn't regret. He tells me now that he loves his st and no longer talks about fr-s/br-z. Once you get to love your ms3, you won't think about what you had to give up for your newborn. ENJOY!!!!!!

Ah, a little bittersweet but congrats on the new kid and the new ride. No doubt both will be a blast.

Thanks guys! It'll be interesting getting into a fully fledged community like this one. I got the BRZ right after it came out and the community surrounding the car was brand new.

Looking forward to lightly modding this, nothing too crazy.

^That, I said I was going to keep my car stock for atleast a year. I lasted.... 3 months?
Then i went VIP and got a good deal on the AP, stuff has just kept coming since, lol.

Enjoy your car though. I sat in an FRS last night for the first time and it was super nice (I came from a miata, so the smallness didnt bother me) and I have no family or children.

keep thinking that - you'll find yourself checking out the FS forums and thinking "hmmm, that's not a bad price for that part...I'll just pick it up"

I try to stay from time to time away from parts site because that's when the mod situation comes to your head and your pocket starts shaking. Lol

$23. Could have negotiated more but I was from out of town and on a timeline, didn't feel like dicking around. They gave me blue book on my trade. Again, could have negotiated more.

Dang I still can't believe how little I paid for my car... 18.9 out the door. 2011 w/ 18k miles. I didn't even think it was a good deal til I see what other people have been paying

Same, I got my 2012 with 18.5K miles for $19.3 out the door
